Lost friends.

I'm actually really afraid to take the next step in my life. Entering the "real" world is such a scary thing!

Take the good, bring it with you and leave the bad behind. I'm sad that I've lost friends in the process of building a new life.

They were a big part of the making of me and for them to not be there anymore is heartbreaking. But do not dwell, everything happens for a reason.

Friends, Sundays at Tiffany's, and Dallas

New song up. It's Adele's Cold Shoulder.

There is a reason why certain people are my friends or why i have them in my life. Once the reason is fulfilled, does that mean they disappear? People are like that though, they come and go. You just have to get used to it.

I'm also peeved. Don't act like you know me when i don't even consider you friend. "Analyze this for me." That's stupid. I'd rather not let you pick at my brain because you'd never understand what goes around in there. The exasperation!

I read James Patterson's Sundays at Tiffany's. It's a very charming book.

I didn't realize how quickly i read this. It's a very light read and very cutesy. I like how it's written. For some reason, i feel that i've read something by him but can't seem to pinpoint what. Gah. I've never read anything like this book before. There are actually quite a lot of loop holes missing, but i sure don't mind. The ending is happy and it's an overall satisfying read.

I woke up this morning to drive to dallas (hour drive) to pick up my car. I arrived at 3.30 and the SA said that the car would be here in 10-15 min. I ended up waiting an hour for the car. During the wait, EVERYONE called me. What the heck? Momma called me every few seconds to lecture me, pa called me to ask how it was going and random friends called me to see what i was doing. It's like a conspiracy...call judy when she's extremely agitated. When i finally left the dealership, it was about 5. That means rush hour traffic. I ran around in circles and ended up at a restaurant to eat because i was starving and cranky. By the time i got home, it was 7.30. I am officially pooped forever.

I miss my friends. I miss having human interaction with people outside my family. I miss driving to work and getting angry at my producer. I miss feeling my age. This self-pity thing sure does get annoying. blah.

On SYTYCD, chelsie and mark left. Oh gosh darned!

3 birthdays and a lesson on bad friends

3 birthdays in 1 day. Are you impressed? There are so many June babies born on the same day. I went to a birthday lunch, followed by a birthday dinner. It was really nice ant sweet. I was in charge of writing the cards with my messy handwriting and the bf was in charge of the monetary funds. Bacon is always needed and appreciated! I had lunch at Piranha Killer Sushi. It was delish. We had 4 rolls: sexy, birthday, dancing eel, and spider. I love sushi and can probably eat it daily. My older sister says she eats wasabi straight. She a crazy fool. When i got home, i changed to get ready for the dinner. I think they were 2-ish hours apart. So much eating today. The friend lived in dallas, near northpark mall, so we headed to the cheesecake factory up there. It's so far away from home, approximately one hour from my house and quite a drive. I always have the hardest time choosing things to wear. I ended up wearing a black and white dress, very summer-y and paired it with black heels. I straightened my hair and everything was set to go. We arrived just on time for the reservation at 5:30, but realized that we were the first to arrive. Great. Count on Asians to run on Asian time.

I was really peeved. The time was set at 5.30. 3 people showed up on time: me, bf, and friend. The birthday girl also showed up on time, towing a friend and her three kiddos. 25 people were supposed to show up. We couldn't be seated until the majority of the party arrived. Dang. It's your friends birthday. The least you can do is arrive if you said you'd go. People didn't start showing up in full until 2 hours later. I can't believe that. Asian time does not apply when it's something important. You don't arrive late for a funeral, wedding, interview etc. If it's you friend, be there for your friend. Is that so hard to understand? What a crazy concept, i know. The "friends" didn't feel any remorse. They reasoned that their lateness is excused by the distance they had to travel. I call bullshit! I traveled the same exact distance. The only difference is that i showed up on time and not two hours late. That just pisses me off. That is absolutely no way to treat a friend, especially on their birthday. Say sorry and shut your mouth. If you are late, come bearing gifts or wonderful wishes. Don't sit on your butt and complain about being hungry. Your fault, idiots. HOW DARE YOU. How dare you turn the situation and guilt on the birthday girl. Selfish b-stards. I barely know the friend (because i know her through the bf), but i know enough to treat a girl nicely/with respect on her birthday. Ug, they make me sick. I even catch myself scowling as i write this. Birthdays are really important to me. My own birthday isn't but my friends are. I know how it feels to be betrayed by your so called "bff" on your birthday adn end up in tears by the end of the night. I hated that feeling and would never want that to happen to anyone i know/care about. I hope her night ends well. I wrote in her card that she's cool and deserves "cooler" friends. By that, i mean better friends. She will be in my prayers. I sound so religious - lols.

On our drive home, we decided to catch a movie: KUNG FU PANDA. Good thing the ride was lengthy because it gave me enough time to blow off steam. Whew, i needed that ride. Like all prepared asians, we bought snacks at the nearest food store to avoid the high prices at the movie stand. We smuggled in mint ice cream dots! They are yumm.
Let me begin by saying, the brilliance of this movie gave me happy chills. I wasn't sure what i was expecting. I didn't read much on the ratings of this movie, so i was just thinking that it would be sub-par. Ever since the bf and i saw the poster for it, way back when we were watching Balls of Fury, we were anticipating this movie. It did not disappoint at all. Jack Black was wonderful in this movie. It was inspiring and just overall a happy, wonderful, feel-good feeling kind of movie. You leave the movie smiling and wanting more. More food perhaps? Without spoiling anything, all i can say is that this is a must-see movie. I love animated movies and this is an adorable and fantabulous movie that you won't want to miss. You will walk away thinking Po is the ultimate hero of your life. Throughout the movie, i kept thinking of the forgotten red Po of teletubbies. Weird, I know. All in all, i give this a 5/5. LOVE! I want to own this now. When it comes out, i'm getting my hands on the real deal. No bootleg version for moi this time. I'm stepping up!

Stepping up to your responsibilities as a friend, sister, daughter etc. is so important. So when my older sister said i was complaining, ohhh did i get irked. She made a mess in the kitchen early morning and didn't clean up. I told her to clean up and all she did was, "yea." When we were about to leave for our friend's brithday lunch and the house was still a mess, i told her to start cleaning or we aren't moving. Her retort? "I will, stop complaining." It's not like i stood there and waited, i wanted her to help clean the mess she created. Is that too much to ask? Apparently, yes. She dumped the dishes in the sink and made our little brother was them. I know that she has skin problems, but that hasn't stopped her from achiving great things in her life. She's lived her whole life overcoming obstacles. The only obstacle that ways her down is her laziness. Actually, i can name a few more obstacles, but i think that's the main one. I don't want to get petty and nitpicky. After all, she is my older sister. Like it or not, i love the bugger. Like anyone else in my family, i'd do anything for her. Sometimes i wonder if that feeling is reciprocated.

The best thing about today was spending time with the bf. He makes me giggle.

Imagine living on your favorite food. For me, it would be ice cream! My favorite dish would have to be my dad's eggplant that he makes. It's so delish. In any case, i love love ice cream. So i guess that would be my food of choice to live on. For a british man, it would have to be Mars chocolate bars. He's a perfectly healthy 37 y.o, who just happens to consume Mars every breakfast, lunch and dinner for the last 17 years. In addition to Mars, he drinks OJ and takes vitamin supplements. He confessed that he was addicted in school; the addiction grew to consume his entire diet. [read more here] Isn't that amazing! He's got to have some health issues if he keeps on at this rate. I can barely eat a whole candy bar, much less eat it 24/7. As much as i love ice cream, i know i can't survive on only that. First of all, i'm lactose intolerant. If my diet was ice cream, i'd be on the toilet every other hour. Nasty.

Cute picture of the day.

Lars and Laptops

I toke up at 6.15 to take little brother to school. The parents said he could skip, but i said no and dragged him out of bed. Skipping was unheard of while i was growing up and i think it should stay that way. While my little brother was at school, i stayed with the bf and watched Lars and the Real Girl. It's absolutely fab. Ryan Gosling stars in one of the most quirkiest, charming films i've seen in a long time. He broke into the movie business as the love-struck Noah in The Notebook and was taken seriously just last year when he was nominated for best actor in Half Nelson. So now, he's taking a stab at comedy as Lars. It's a very subtle film, so if you like outlandish stuff, i'm not sure if you'll enjoy this one. But i loved every second of it. I even teared up a little. Basically, it's about a boy growing up and finding his place in the community. The one obstacle Lars has to get over is his social ineptness. He doesn't like human touch, maybe even fears it. The character development in this film is very believable and in depth. Along the way, Lars falls in love with a sex doll named Bianca. It might sounds weird, but it's very well written. The dialogue is one of the great pros of this movie. Bianca literally becomes part of the community and becomes an outlet for everyone. It's amazing to see people accept mental illnesses in a positive way. As you watch, you start to learn about the whole community. I can safely say that i thoroughly enjoyed the well-picked cast. I loved learning about everyone. It's quite amazing to watch everyone come together and work in such a proficient, happy manner. That's how we are supposed to live. There's a term for it, but the name eludes me. All in all, i say 4.8/5 stars. The .2 is because of the ending. I kind of wanted to see beyond what is hinted.

When i came home, i saw a lot of shopping bags in my mom's room. My mom took my older sister to go shopping since there would be major sales today. They also went shopping yesterday when i was out taking care of the little sister. I looked through the bags to see what they bought and all of a sudden, older sister prances in with her shopping bags. She showed me the stuff she accumulated over the last couple of days. I kind of took it in and then got up, got dressed, and decided to go shopping. My mom tagged along, so i couldn't go with the bf. I was steamed. I was upset at older sister. I've always felt that she's selfish, but have always kept it in. I couldn't keep it in this time because while i was driving, i started crying. It's embarrassing! My mom thought i was crying because i wanted new clothes and that i was jealous of what older sister bought. Hells to the no!! I was upset because it's so like older sister do something like that. She never thinks of anyone but herself. Well, i stand corrected; she cares about her friends. Every time i'm home and i go shopping, i almost always keep them in mind and buy my siblings something. Even, if it's something little. She had two days to shop and she came home with stuff for herself while i cared for little sister and brother. Who is the older sister? Why isn't she acting like an dependable, older sister? I think today was just the last straw. I always keep things in and so all the aggravating things she does just keeps accumulating over time until i just can't take it anymore. So today, i cried. I told my mom that i think it's because of her selfish attitude and how she treats family. It's not right that she argues back to the parents; it's not right that she doesn't care as much as i do about the siblings. My mom starts defending her and says that it's because she's sick. According to her, eczema prohibits you from taking on sisterly duties. I looked at her in disbelief and told her that it's a skin condition. She's not dying. She's living fine and going to become a doctor. What does eczema have to do with her stinky attitude and personality? Yea, that shut her up because she knows that i'm right.

I took my mom to look at laptops. My friend told me about a brilliant deal on the tablet i wanted, but as i browsed around i realized that i wanted another one.

Specs are here
HP Pavilion DV2840SE 14.1" Special Edition Laptop (AMD Turion 64 X 2 Dual Core TL-60 Processor, 4 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium)

Doesn't it sound delish? As much as i think tablets are cool, i don't really need it. I like writing in regular, paper notebooks. I like the way it smells and i like the feel of turning the page. I also like flipping my paper and hearing the crispiness of it. I'm such a nerd, but it makes me feel accomplished. I loved the size of the tablet. It was a small, light 12'', making it very portable. It has a cool fingerprint recognition feature that i liked too. But i'm not sure how long the twisty tablet thing would last. I want durability and a life expectancy of....preferably a long time. I don't see it in the cute tablet. I also think it would be a waste if i don't use the tablet portion. So, i started to look around and found this neat little one. It's a tad bigger, but by not that much. Theres an interesting design and the webcam feature is so cool. That is such a superficial matter, but i like it. It makes me look like i have flawless skin! It's also an HP. I love that brand. I'm definitely biased because I own a Hp desktop and it works amazing. Anyways, my mom likes it too. I think we're going to go buy it tomorrow. Yay!

I met someone today that i really didn't want to be reminded of. Do you have those instances where you kind of want to disappear? Well, that happens to me every time i see someone from HS. Grossness are the HS years. This asian guy was working at Best Buy and at first i didn't recognize him. I just thought he looked familiar. Then, my memories came back and i realized that it was the boy that liked me and every other asian girl in our HS. I think he was a grade or two above me. I don't know if he recognized me, but we both ignored the fact that we previously knew each other. I hate feigning friendship. Be nice to someone i don't care for is hard. When i came home, i told my older sister that i met someone in our past that she would never guess. She guessed on the first try! What the heck. She said that the guy she named would be the last person she would want to see, so she guessed. Gosh darn. How dreadful. Since my mom was there, i told her that i knew him. She was amused for a little while and then we moved on with our lives. Thank goodness. OH, that reminds me. I met two Brazilian guys - Gustavo and Paolo - yesterday that spoke Portuguese. Their accents were amazing. I was lost and gustavo helped me out around the camp site. It was a pathetic site. I was picking up little sister at her retreat and lost my way. He was kind enough to help. At first, i trailed a mexican retreat group and realized i was got the wrong group. So i circled the area and recruited help. Smart move judy!

Who else is smart? Apple! They just have filed a patent to place solar cells on portable devices. Outfitted with such technology, Apple’s devices, like the iPhone, could have photovoltaic cells stacked underneath LCD touch screens, thus maximizing the area available for harnessing the sun. [read more here] Can they get any richer? It's like they are always one step ahead of everyone. I guess thats why the brand is so pricey and dynamo. I asked a SA what the top notebook brands were and his personal fave. He obviously said MAC. I should've seen that one coming.

Cute picture of the day.

1 down, 1 to go!

I am beyond relieved. My 10 pg paper is complete. I turned in everything today at 9 am. After i turned everythign in, i came home to nap. During my short lived nap, i dreamed that she gave me an A! That would be so fab if it were true. Now all i have to do is worry about my paper on Weddell Seals. I'm afraid of this paper because my professor is a hard-butt grader. I hope he'll cut me some slack and give me an A. For lunch, i went out with my professor. He's such a darling. Every time we grab lunch, it seems that it rains. We decided to eat at a little place at The Domain called Jasper's. Since i wasn't feeling so well and it was drizzling, we did the whole valet thing. It was so nice. The food there was great and the service was excellent. The whole experience was charming. When i came back, my brain was still fried from last night so i plopped down in front of the t.v to de-stress. I watched the ending of August Rush (unsatisfying, btw) and a lot of non-sense t.v that totally fries your brain. Before dinner came by, my friend and i watched Keeping up with the Kardashians - Civil War. It was so funny to see Kim cry because Kourtney laughed at her "ugly crying face." That is so messed up. Everyone looks ugly when they cry, criers can't help themselves. I couldn't find anything to eat at dinner so i settled for some pesto pasta. I want home-cooked meals! I want rice! I want to use chopsticks!

THE situation: For privacy sake, i'm going to call her Cheetah. Cheetah broke up with her bf, Zebra. I asked Cheetah if she liked this other guy, Baboon. Cheetah says no and that they're just "really good friends." So i see pictures today with Cheetah and Baboon together that insinuate more than just friendship. What does this mean? Did Cheetah lie to me? It's always like that. I don't know the real reason behind her breakup with Zebra, but i think Baboon has something major to do with it. I would take things better if Cheetah wasn't so shady about things. I hate it when people do that. I expect honesty because that's all i ask of people. This wasn't the first time Cheetah did something like this. It was last summer when she pulled the same stunt. Cheetah and Zebra were going out, but Cheetah broke it off with Zebra because she found Duck. When Duck left the scene, Cheetah went back to Zebra. Sigh, i don't know why girls do this kind of crap. I'm tired of hearing bad stuff about Cheetah too. I just want to remember Cheetah as someone i once looked up to. Is that too much to ask? I suppose. People change.

Besides that, i'm really surprised that people read this blog. I love reading comments. It makes me feel super duper special. Since i'm still waiting for the stuff to come in, i can't do my mini-makeup tut for my friend. I guess i'll just have to wait till after school. I'm hoping to finish this paper today, but it doesn't look so likely. I'm just not motivated. The only problem is that i don't want to wait last minute and have to cram. My friends also want to do something Thursday to celebrate the end of the year. I don't know what we'll end up doing, but i'm sure it'll be fun. I love my girls. I'm writing my paper now, but i really needed a break. I'm already halfway done. The only thing is that i'm running out of stuff to write about. He expects us to apply what we learned in class to Weddell Seals and it's really hard because he's like the expert on those animals. Gosh darn. So if we write down one wrong thing, he'll know! There's no chance in me bs-ing this junk. Well, it doesn't matter because i'm already a horrible bs-er. I'm always when someone whips something out of their ass. Now, that is a handy talent.

I'm breaking out! I look really horrible. I have two pimples on my forehead, one on my cheek, and two near my lip area. Isn't that disgusting! The problem is i keep touching it! The more i touch the darn pimples, the more i aggravate it. So now, they are red, bumpy messes all over my face. I hate feeling splotchy. I don't know a good product to remedy this problem. If anyone knows anything, let me know. My friend keeps telling me to put toothpaste on my face, but i've already tried that years past. It did nothing besides leaving me smell minty fresh. Sigh. There are several reasons for my health afflictions: sleep and water deprivation. For some reason, i've been drinking a ton of Dr. Pepper. Why is that? It's not good for my health and it's sure not good for my skin. This conundrum always makes me furrow my brow and sigh even more.

You know what else is nasty?! Rape and incest, rolled into one. That, my friend, is the Fritzl family case. This took place in a Austria. A 73 y.o man locked his 18 y.o daughter in a self-made dungeon for 24 years, where he continually raped her. How the hell did he manage that? Well, he told his wife that their daughter ran away. What amazes me, is that she believes him. He already fathered 10 children with his wife. As the guy abused his daughter for 24 years, he also managed to produce 7 more children with her. He took 3 of the 7 children to his wife, saying that their daughter left them at his doorstep. The remaining four stayed in the unlit dungeon, with no sense of the outside world, and witnessed the rape their mother endured. Now, the prisoned daughter is 42, but suffers from malnutrition. As a result, her hair is all white and she looks like shes 20 years older. [read more here] I don't understand how anyone can get away with this. I hope he gets what he deserves. I don't believe in mercy when it comes to this kind of human cruelty. I'm feel ashamed reading about this kind of thing. This is a human being inflicting pain on another human being. And it's not just any random person, it's his own flesh and blood. In his defense, the man said that people should take in consideration that he kept his daughter and the children alive. Well, they wouldn't be in a life/death situation if it weren't for him in the first place. What a jerk.

Cute picture of the day.

Awww, so sweet.

Papers, papers, and more papers

I think th most entertainment i've had all day was the kitten my friend brought to class. The darling thing was so small! Her name was Apple-bottom. Seeing that thing reminded me of the short-lived MoMo. I'm definitely not a cat person. No "free cat" sign will lure me in again! That's why i now have ollie. She's numero uno! A girl brought a little puppy to class named, Friar Tuck. Isn't that sweet!! Ever since i've been drinking the Rock Star energy drink my friend got me yesterday night, i've been peeing neon yellow green. It's kind of funny and makes me laugh every time i look at the bowl. That's kind of nasty, but it's true. I don't know what's up me because i have this ongoing nauseous feeling that i can't get rid of. I was sitting in class and i felt like throwing up. I might be getting sick! For those thinking the nasty, NO! i'm not preggers. I think i've been pushing myself lately. I've been staying up late-night, trying to finish homework and papers. I don't eat healthy or regularly. And on top of that, i don't shower as often as i should. That's messed up. I need to take better care of myself. Last night i slept at 4. I called it quits on a paper at around1? 2? For some odd reason, i couldn't go to bed. It was probably the energy drink. It might actually be me. I couldn't fall asleep because i had that paper in my mind. So i got up, wrote some more junk and then went to bed. Looking back, i still need to do major revisions and add more material. I hate papers. The whole process just ills me to the bone.

I enlisted help during my writing process yesterday night. Heres the deal. I was supposed to work with a partner to write/observe cows. Right in the middle of the semester, my friend bails on me. By that time, i only had 1/4 of the paper written. So i soldiered on and completed about 3/4ths of the paper. In total, i have 22 pages including graphs. I'm on the last section of the paper and i'm stuck! I don't know how to do it. I'm lost at the methods section. The class doesn't have any prereqs, but those who took research methods have a clear advantage over those who haven't. I am part of the disadvantaged. The reason why i didn't take RM is because i don't have to. It's nore a requirement for me since i'm only minoring. That's why i'm taking classes that don't require RM as a prereq. More essentially, i'm a cop out. I looked at the course load i had to take in order to major in psych and turned the other direction. The other defining factor was that i didn't like any of the psych professors. Well, i liked one or two, but definitely not enough for me to pursue it as a major. Not to mention the horrid stats class. Hecks-no to the math! That's why i turned to communication. It's not all easy, but there are definite perks of being a com major. It's something i genuinely love and have interest in. I'm still interested in psych, just not enough to pursue it. Thus, psych became my minor. Minoring in psych is hard because there are only a handful of classes that don't have RM as a prereq. So i have to labor over the catalog and weed out certain classes in order to fulfill the minor criteria. As a result, i've been calling up friends and asking them how to do certain things that were acquired in RM. If i were to do this by myself, i'd draw a blank every time and end up turning in some half-butt crap. I might have to do that, but i'm trying my hardest to make it sound as if i'm learned. I'm determined to complete this paper by tonight. By the weekend, i have to shift my focus and finish three more major papers. It's almost over. I can't believe it. So close, yet so far is how i'm feeling.

Besides my whole paper debacle, i am now an official member of APO. APO is a service fraternity with lots of brothers and sisters. Since the group is so big, there are families within APO served to help people "belong," more or less. There are 5 main families: Kennedy, Illuminati, Corleone, Kerby, and Montague. My big is a Kerby, so now i am a Kerby. It's one of the smallest families. I think there's only 5 members, including me. Apparently, next semester the fam is widdled down to about 2 members because 2 are studying abroad and 1 is graduating. My darling big is a girl i know and have been friends with since last year. She's a really sweet person, really bright, and really dedicated. She wants to be a doctor, so more power to her. She gave me a present (a bag of goodies) as a "welcome into the fam" sorta deal. It was really nice of her. I'm not really sure if i'm 100% happy about being a Kerby, but it doesn't really matter now that i am one. I guess i'm mildly shocked because i didn't really expect to join the Kerbies. If ya'll are wondering, Kerby is named after the Austin eatery, Kerby Lane. I've never eaten there, but i hear that it's the place to be.

Over the last couple of days, my mind has been preoccupied. I found out that one of my "friends" is talking stuff behind my back to another friend of mine. I understand people talk, i don't mind that. Heck, i'm a big gossiper. I just don't want other people talking about stuff that isn't true. I don't lift my shirt up so that people can touch my body. First of all, who the heck does that?! That's just stupid. My friends are annoying me lately. I don't know if it's just the time of the year or what, but it's like girls turn into demons. My friend says she's been sick. She went to the nurse and she plainly said that she wasn't. The only problem is that she's adamant she's got something. There are "symptoms." Geez. If you were sick, you wouldn't be romping about having a jolly old time. You'd be in bed, sleeping. If you have "cold" symptoms, guzzle a couple of pills. No, you just want people to pour out sympathy and affirm your "sickness." It doesn't work that way. I don't work that way. At least be practical about it. Throat itchy? Cough drop it. Headache? Tylenol that mess. Do something, don't just complain. At dinner, she was saying how the nurse didn't know what she was doing and that she was actually sick. I looked at her and said, "Maybe it's a psychological thing. You've got it in your mind that you're sick, so you've taken on the characteristics of sickness." It might just be a mental thing. For instance, if your body aches it might be because you slept the wrong way or you don't get enough sleep and your body is screaming at you for rest! If your throat hurts it might be a bad case of allergies gone wrong. But since you are so determined that you are sick, you might misdiagnose all those minor symptoms. Is that not plausible? Does that not make sense? Apparently my friend didn't even think of that possibility. She glared at me and then at her other friend as if she was saying, "What the hell do you mean by that." Well, to put it plainly, i mean what i meant.

Do you need help with memory stuff like me? Here are tips, courtesy of Oprah and CNN. The first tip is to space-out. Don't cram, but divide your study time. When you space out learning like this, "you can have up to 100 percent more retention." The next is to sleep on it. Hit the books; then hit the pillow. That will help the brain lock in what you learned. Even naps are beneficial, according to a Harvard study in which subjects who took a 90-minute snooze after learning a task performed 50 percent better over a 24-hour period than the napless group. Don't overlearn. Once you've remembered the Spanish word for house or done a math problem correctly, continuing to practice does very little for long-term retention, says Rohrer. Last but not least, keep your brain fit! Regular exercise, social engagement, and education all help keep the brain sharp as you age. I think i try to do all these things already. I might want to practice the spacing bit more often though.

Cute picture of the day.

This cute little elephant toy is a sweet accessory for your cell phone, but it also doubles as an indispensable tool for people with ear wax problems. Fitting neatly atop your index finger, this elephant’s trunk is a slightly curled, conventionally styled ear scratcher.
Now you can scratch your ear in style!

Fashion Show Recap

Yesterday i was a jumbled mess. We had the fashion show thing that took up all of my hw time. Gosh darn. I wore an ao dai and a blue kimono (pictured to the right). The color is really pretty except it kinda makes me look..frumpled. It didn't fit me very well and i had limited time to change so i just prayed that it wouldn't fall apart as i walked. There's a weird lump...i think it's supposed to be my chest? It looks mighty disfigured if it is. That sucks. Oh well. You won't believe how many people showed up. My friends and i made a bet. One said 50, i said 20, and another said 10. *drum roll* A grand total of 9 people showed up. Isn't that a shame! It's not like we too it seriously. At least we got free food out of it. It was pretty delish i must say so myself. There was one really hectic part of the program that got everyone tied in a knot. So the gospel choir was supposed to sing, but the lead piano/singer guy wasn't there. Apparently he got the wrong info and thought he was to be on later. WRONG. Everyone started panicking and i was like, "chill!" Just let the next act go and wait for the piano guy to show up. THEN these two people started talking trash talking the piano guy. THIS is what the said, verbatim: "This is exactly what he would. He's just like that. He's deliberately trying to sabotage us and the show. You don't know him like i do. I just know it's in his nature to do something like this." I kind of looked at those two and laughed. Are you serious?? I told them to give him the benefit of the doubt. Why, in his right mind, would he "deliberately sabotage." And sabotage who? All of 9 people in the audience? Idiots. When piano guy showed up...2 min later, everyone was happy-go-lucky. Sigh, two-faced losers. What made me laugh even more was when i stood up for the piano guy (even though i didn't know him), those two people said i was too nice for this "harsh world" filled with "harsh realities." Oh, get over yourselves. They are just drama queens, making drama about everything. The only reason i remembered this was because it was so ridiculous.

The show lasted for a long time. It was around 11 when i was able to do homework. I had a paper to write up in my AB class. Amazingly, i wrote 8 pages. 11 pages in total if you count the data and graphs i created. That was so hard! I ended up working up to 6.30 in the morning! It was pure pain. I wanted to give up and ask for an extension, but the bf encouraged me to the point where i finished the paper! I don't know how well it's written, but it's done. What's funny is that two of my friends did the same thing as me. They stayed up writing papers and suffered through the night with me. Well, suffered in spirit at least. During the writing process, i made some coffee and snacked on various things i had lying around. The coffee posed a problem when i called it a "night" at 7. The coffee was running through me and i couldn't fall asleep even though i felt wretched. When i was able to fall asleep, i wasn't able to get a good nights rest because i had class the next day at 9. My alarm was set for 8.15. At least i got a mini-power nap (sorta). When i woke up, i looked and felt like major crap this morning. I needed (still need) a shower desperately and maybe a complete chill day. I hate it when you feel and look like crap, people tend to compliment you on your crappiness. Ok, so what if i look like i rolled in a big pile of poop, you don't have to tell me. When you're in your crabiest, people start annoying you like no other.

Take for instance...this guy. I'll call him Asian Hoarder (AH) because he is white and loves all things asian. Hello! We aren't collectibles! Give us some room, puh-lease. I need my breather space. I was walking to class and out of no where he calls my name. I look around and saw him way across campus. I stood there and waited for him to catch up since we're going the same direction. When i looked at him, my expression was not pleasant. He notices and says, "what's wrong? why do you look sad?" I was thinking - "because you you called my name and made me wait for you" - but refused to say what came to mind. He starts talking about how we never hang out. Last time i checked, we were never hang-out buddies. I said, "so." Then he says, "we should hangout after class...sonic or something." I say, "uh huh." That's what i always say when i'm not listening. I guess i should listen next time. When class was over, i picked up everything really fast and walked out the door with my friend. We were engrossed in convo and passed him up by his car. He goes, "Hey, aren't you coming with me?" I look and say, "no" and do that "shoo bug don't bother me" hand movement. He combats with, "what the hell." I don't know what to do with this kid. I have him in my next class and he totally avoided me. That's fine with me. I thought he had a girlfriend. I don't know why he's trying to talk me up. I have no interest in becoming buddy-buddy with him. I also already have a buddy-buddy bf and he fills the role just nicely.

Tomorrow is JUDY DAY. I'm going to go do stuff. I don't know how, but i am! Hopefully i can get the car. I really have the urge to spend some moolah. Which is bad because i don't have any moolah to spend. This is because i haven't been working that much. I'm either doing homework and too lazy to get up from my bed to go to lab. I am the epitome of true laziness. One of my favorite past times is picture taking...of stupid, random things.
Doesn't this make you laugh. It sure does make me laugh. We each took turns squishing our faces. The bf looks like a blow fish. I look like a chinese uncle with horse teeth. See that mole the bf has on his cheek? I have one too on my cheek except it's not visible in the picture because of the flash. Flash makes me happy because it makes my skin look flawless. Goodness knows my skin is far from it. I'm breaking out right now. It's because i keep picking my face and irritating my skin. It's so nasty. It's almost as nasty as picking my nose. I'm being a loser and watching Hoan Chau Cat Cat again. I love this series. I still laugh at all the funny parts and i gasp at all the shocking parts. What i need now is the sequel. That way i can be doubly surprised and doubly shocked. Cool plan huh. Ever since i went to H-E-B to stock up on snacks, i've been eating junky nonstop. I have a bag of chocolate covered raisins right next to my mouse pad and a bag of BBQ chips around the corner. All this eating is a no-no. Last night i woke with a stomach ache. It might've been the coffee and or the snacks. I'm unsure, but eating late-night always unsettles my tummy. Beside morning toilet fiascos, i'm concentrating on reducing my ever growing pouch. I need to exercise more! I've been exercising and i believe consistency is key! I should have taken a before picture to document my progress.

Nintendo is bringing their hit Wii game, FIT, to the states. Wii Fit has already conquered Japan and now it's set to debut on May 19 in the United States. For $89.99 you not only get the game, but the Wii Fit balance board accessory.
Isn't the console neat! The girl is japanese, too! Leave it to asians to advertise asian stuff. The game started selling in japan last year and has racked up 1.5 mil in sales. Nintendo's expecting to just as well in the states, if not better. The Wii Fit balance board, however, measures subtle shifts in weight, pressure and movement for realism during the 40-plus aerobics, strength and yoga exercises simulated in the game. The board is more complex than the soft pads used with most dance games. [source] Isn't that neato. What better way to combine new, emerging media with health related topics. It's smart because it targets teens as well as adults. I can't wait to play it! Too bad i don't have a Wii. I imagine it's like the whole DDR losing weight thing. As long as you are consistent with your workout, you will see results!

Cute picture of the day.

Candy apple goodness.

Sisters...sigh!

I found a new fab artist. I'm listening to her right now. If you know me, you will know what kind of music i like. I have a strong penchant for acoustics and vocals. The lyrics have to be well thought out and seamlessly flow with the music. Yesterday at work, i started looking up budding musicians. I'm not big on mainstream music. Part of the fun of becoming a fan is discovering the music. I like being able to say, "yea, i knew them ages ago...you are so behind!" This girl is sweet. Her voice is mesmerizing and very much like Priscilla Ahn. I think she plays her own instruments.
Meiko, pronounced Mee-ko. [read more here] She's a quarter Japanese. Apparently, she didn't know she misspelled it (meiko is pronounced may-ko), but she thought it was too much trouble to change it. A lot of her songs remind me of the bf. I saw a vid of her on youtube and i thought she was so talented. Her voice seems...raw.

So remember the cute pair of shorts i bought at Old Navy? I know two other people who bought the exact pair. One girl is in denial of her size. She should go up a few sizes, but refuses. The result is kind of traumatizing. The shorts don't fit her very well and make her bulge in more places than usual. It's supposed to do this little puff thing in front and on her, it's stretched and doesn't look comfortable at all. I haven't seen the other girl in the shorts yet, i just know she has them cause she showed me. I don't get why some girls don't dress to flatter their body shape. It doesn't matter if you are a size whatever, as long as you make the clothes work (like Tim Gunn says!), noone will know your true size. I remember when i went prom shopping with my indecisive, in denial friend. That was a lost cause. She would no go over a size 8 even though she was a size XX (i still don't know her size). Anyways, she kept saying that it was principle! Principle my butt. We went to this store and she tried on a million dresses. It didn't fit her cause she kept getting the wrong size. Her excuse for the bulge was that her back was wide. Is that true? Can your back be too wide? When i looked for a dress, i went as high as size 16 for her. The dress fit and looked wonderful on her, but she refused to buy it. I honestly thought she was like a size 5-8, which is perfectly normal. She kept saying that in some stores, she was a size 4. Yea, that means she squeezed herself into whatever article clothing she bought. I don't know. I guess it's because i haven't been in that position before, but wouldn't it be better to just accept who you are and dress as though you love your body.

I'm getting better at calligraphy! At least i think i am? I have to do an exhibition piece and it's not looking to well. What else is not going to well is my memory. I totally forgot about a one of my two meetings. I don't know what i was thinking. At 6, i went to my first meeting. That might have drained my efforts right there. That and i only had a bagel for dinner. Sigh. Anyways, my older sister always manages to put me down in public. So embarrassing. How am i supposed to save face? The little argument we got into was el stupido. My friend and i had to set something up for an event. We both have class back to back on monday. In my case, i have class from 9-5. I did something wrong (bad decision), but i was rushed! At the meeting, she had the nerve to call me out! What the heck? If she was so upset about it, why didn't she go fix it herself. She's the darned chair of the event. Better yet, she should've taken care of it. I hate it people just sit and complain about things they can easily fix. Why does she half to treat me like that all the gosh darned time. Is it fun for her to belittle me? I was really upset for awhile. I'm better now. I just thought that my relationship with her was becoming better, but it feels like nothing has changed. I won't worry about it anymore. It's over and i've concluded that she'll never change. I guess amongst all that crap, i forgot about my next meeting. I feel quite bad. Sigh. In attempt to relax, i went home and did my nails. My toes are cute. I have did a hot pink french tip and pink hued cover. It looks nice. I attempted to do a flower on my thumb. It looks funky. I'm not going to change it because i'm too lazy to take it off. Tomorrow the bf visits! Yay! It's another reason for me to get picture happy. I'm also happy because i'm eating.

Moving on, police rescued two teenage Bulgarian sisters from a circus in southern Italy which forced one of them to swim with flesh-eating piranhas for the amusement of guests, police said. While the 19-year-old sister swam in a transparent tank, the younger, 16-year-old was forced into a container where the circus staff tossed snakes at her. She was injured by one of the snakes, police said. Police arrested three Italians who ran the circus south of Naples, in Salerno province, accusing them of forcing the sisters to live in virtual slavery. The women were paid 100 euros ($155.8) per week and lived in a trailer that had previously been used to transport animals, they said. [source] Poor girls. I'm amazed that things like this still happen. People do learn about world history right? I'm always reminded about slavery because of my closest friends is black. I now know that everything can be attributed to race, color, and slavery. The answer to everything: "I'm Asian." For example, Q: How did you know that? A: I'm Asian, I know

Cute picture of the day.

Every piece of that cake is edible.
It's just too darned cute to eat.

Today is a Good Day

After working out, i really wanted to fall back to sleep. I don't think that's how it's supposed to work. I have a feeling i'm missing something, but can't quite put my finger on what. I did the elliptical for 15 min before we left. Usually i feel pain/good after working out, but that isn't the case. I feel normal, like i usually do. Does this mean i'm not working out enough? I want to work out in my room. It's such a bother having to going somewhere. My friend has this thing called Yoga Booty Ballet (YBB) . Insane, ya? I want to try it out. It seems really fun. At the gym, we saw a beginner ballet class. It looks wretched. I'm just being mean, it didn't look so bad. I just don't like ballet. Well, i like watching it, btu i don't think i would ever pick it up. I'm so old! Ballet might help my flexibility though, which i definitely need. A group of us were talking about dancing yesterday and Shakira came up. Now, she is a crazy dancer. I don't know how you move your hips like that. I'm amazed that it's even possible. Anyways, we did that for awhile and then talked about people who could dance, black people. Not to be racist/stereotypical, but a lot of black people know how to groove (more so then asians...disregarding jabbawockeez and kaba modern). Anyways, that's who you see in clubs doing their thing. They do that touch the floor and butt up slowly. Yea, i tried that in front of my friends and it was a major failure. I'm not flexible anymore, so i couldn't touch the floor with my legs straight. And then i couldn't back my thing up. It doesn't really matter. I'm quite a sight attempting it though. Sigh.

How stupid is that. I hate it when american's attempt to remake originals. The original was charming, fun, cute, and everythign this one isn't. I can already tell it's got major cheese factor. If you haven't seen the original, don't waste your time on the american version of My Sassy Girl and go get the real thing. I bet you that its going to be 100000000000 + 1 times better. Look at the trailer of the original My Sassy Girl.

That is what it's trying to replicate. I was watching it and i started laughing. I've seen this movie ten thousand times. It's just that good. I think the american version chose wrong actors. The original has a wonderful cast. I love love the male lead. His face is just too funny. Sometimes if i'm in one of my bad moods, i think of his weird face and start chuckling. It's one of those movies that i can watch over and over. I highly recommend this to you if you haven't already seen it. Oh!! I also hate that americans never credit the originals. What is that? They aren't creative enough to think up their own thing so they go over seas to find something to remake. What an embarrassment. That goes towards all asian remakes. So tacky. I hate it when americans put their "touch" on things. For instance, the lake house. They didn't even credit the original! What the heck. It kind of upsets me because the original is fab. It's one of my favorite movies and they went and screwed it up. I don't like kieno (sp?) reeves. He's an awful actor. The only good thing about him is that he's a tiny percent asian. Sigh, can't hate there.

I'm so excited! Well, today has mostly been chill and i'm grateful for that. After my workout, i showered and napped for an hour. I woke up to get ready for lunch. While i was waiting, i decided to finish off my series. I cannot tell you how much i love this series. I still laugh at all the funny parts and gasp at all the crazy parts. I went to work wanting to watch the sequel, but i couldn't find a working link. Gosh darn. Anyways, i'm at work and at work i check my email like a girl on crack. I found out my test is cancelled and that all my friday classes are canceled, too! Yay for brown symposium (BS)! In honor of BS, my friends and i are making 6 turtle breads and lots of cow patties. It should be fun, but very time consuming. The turtle breads are really cute. I'm not sure if we can totally replicate, but it's worth a try. The best part is that i'm getting paid for the time spend baking! Yay! This week is panning out pretty well. I'm most looking forward to Thursday! That's when the bf visits! I love bf visits!! I'm already excited just talking about it. You can tell from the abuse of (!!!!!!).

At the meeting today, we had to play a group game. It is similar to simon says. At one point, we had to get into a group of 5 people and point to the air. I clustered to the closest 4 people i could find and thought that if i stood in the middle, i would be the permanent 5th person of the group. WRONG! My friend playfully pushed me right in the boob and said, "get away!" I had to scurry and find another group. Unfortunately, i was not successful and was eliminated. What's funny is that her attitude towards the game was so unexpected. Who knew she was so competitive. It doesn't matter because she lost anyways. Ha-ha! Afterwards, we had the meeting. My friends and i got off topic. We ended up talking about our guy friend who is a definite boob-man. We say that because his past girlfriends all have the same physical features. They are healthy, plump, and well endowed in that department. It's interesting to think what kind of man most guys are. I just asked the bf what kind he is (i already knew this, but just wanted to reaffirm) and he said, a butt-man. Now, at least i can say i have a butt! It's small and bony, but it's a butt! My secret to getting a fab butt is eating ice cream. You should try it out.

Some women go crazy during arguments. Instead of trying to talk like respectable adults, they get violent. That's when it turns ugly. In Florida, a women is charged for assault and child abuse after trying to run her husband over by a minivan. Her child was in the back seat. Amazingly, she was released from jail after posting a $2,750 bond. The couple were arguing over $300 and it got so heated that the husband tried to take the baby from his wife. She had her own plans. The lady grabbed the baby and headed towards the minivan. The husband was smart enough to run because she tried to run him over 20 times. [source] He smartly threw a brick into the window and stopped her killing rampage. What an insane woman! I can't believe things like that happen in real life. It just sounds so surreal. I think she should get some medical help. It's not good for her to deal with anger in that manner. I'm just surprised that everyone got away unscathed. This could have turned out really bad. What's also bad (but not as nearly) is a friend dumping someone you don't nkow on you. My friend had a prospy to take care of, but she decided to go out and hang with her friends. She asked my other friend to take care of the prospy and since she had a lot of work to do, i offered to help. Who the heck does that? I hate it when people don't take responsibility. If you say you do something, do it. If you sign up to take care of a prospy, do the right thing and take care of her. Show her around. You don't ditch the poor thing! Crazy. All of them.

Cute picture of the day.

They are just so darned cute and Texan! I want one!
Puppies need to stay puppies forever
because they sure do look ugly when they're all grown up.

Girls are Weird

Exercising is so hard. Waking up to exercise is even harder. I need motivation. I realized that if i flex extra hard, you can see my two pack! Interesting, ey? After my shower, i usually walk into my room in a towel. I lotion before i put anything on, but while i was lotioning the housekeeper knocked. Oi. She usually comes in before or after my shower, so at least i expected it. I started scurrying to the bed and grabbing one of my big night shirts to wear. This always happens. Last time she came i hurled myself into my bed and covered myself with sheets. I now know that she has no intentions of seeing me naked. Oh, wonderful. That would've been a really weird encounter. She's really cool thought. Every time i pass her, she's watching some telenova with her buddies and i always wave.

Last night, i had late-night ramen. I was so darned hungry. Before i settled on ramen i tested my banh mi. I got three loaves Sunday and i had one left. It was a little stale and the bread was hard. I tested the meat and chewed a couple pieces before deciding to toss it out and eat ramen. I had a mini-tummy ache when i woke up. What does that mean? I should fight my urge to eat at night! Yes! Lately i've been seeing a trend. People are getting married/engaged. I don't know if that's a wise decision or a rash decision. With marriage comes a baby carriage! Sometimes unconventional families have it hard. For example, gay parents. I don't like how there are some restrictions when it comes to adoption. Does it matter? What matter is if they are capapbel of being good parents. Would you rather be brought up in a home with abusive parents or a loving home, disregarding gender. It might be hard for the child to live in a world with big social barriers, but it's just another obstacle. Sometimes America amazes me. With problems like this, i don't like how some people are ungrateful. Some think that their life is horrible and they have it "tough." Buck up, it's life. Everyone says life is unfair, you just have to get used to it. Rather than complain about your have nots, be happy about what you do have. I guess i'm irked because i see so many people complain about how sucky their life is. Granted, i complain but i never sulk about my awful, pathetic life (because it's not!!). Sigh. I guess i can't really say much because i've been blessed with a crazy, loving famiLe. I don't know how i run on tangents.

What do you think when you see this picture? Major beer belly? Lazy couch potato? Pregnant? It's a crazy thought, but it's possible. A male pregnant? Isn't that the craziest thought. The man's name is Thomas Beatie. He's happily married and giving birth to a baby girl in July. beatie was actually born female, but had gender reassignment surgery to become legally recognized as a male. The couple desperately wanted a child, but couldn't because the wife had a hysterectomy. He was still able to become pregnant because he kept his female organs when he switched genders. He had reconstructed his chest and had testosterone therapy. Before becoming preggars, he stopped the therapy. His menstrual cycle began again and he started taking different estrogen induced drugs to aid his pregnancy. Crazy things like this can happen! I commend these people.

I went to a fashion show today. Now that was a lot of people. The fashion show featured black heritage/fashion. I forgot the name and what it was called, something EBONY. It was fun. The models were pretty and some of the clothes were nice/weird/ugly/questionable. There was this oen model that looked like a man. It was weird. Everything was smooth up until the show ended. Traffic was horrible! If you've been around asian traffic, you can imagine how black traffic feels like. It's just awful. There were two lanes, one going in and one going out. People were in a mad rush trying to get out. My sis was telling me to do some illegal stuff and i told her no. She got upset and was mean to me for awhile. What the heck? I don't want to get a ticket by the officer standing at the gate. Then i took directions wrong. I don't understand GPS lingo. It makes me think too hard. I can't be distracted when i'm driving. How long, How much, What is 500 yards? Sigh. At least it recalculates when i miss a turn. Just awful. Then, it was really hot in the car so i turn on the a.c and she goes, "are you hot?" Of course i'm hot. Why else would i turn it on. But of course, she takes precedent in everything because she's king wherever she goes. I don't hold grudges, but she held one for a long time. I didn't even know she was upset with me until i started talking and she snapped back. Geez. Girls are just insane.

Cute picture of the day.

Girl Drama

The worst part about sleeping is knowing that you have to wake up extra early the next day. All in all, the day was ok. I was so happy after my second class. I was skipping around because i only had 2 more classes to go before i get to have my nap! I don't know how people go on without nap intervals. College has renewed my appreciation for naps. It makes you feel a whole lot better when you get an hour or two in during the day.

Today, i'm mildly fueled by annoyance. What other subject than about girls? I'm pretty sure guys have a different level of annoying, but i haven't met a lot of boys that really push my buttons. I've met a lot of girls though. I'm not surprised because the girl guy ratio is like 60:40, yuck. so what kind of girls am i going to talk about today? The snotty girls that think they are the shiznit. They walk around with their nose in the air thinking that they own the place. I don't know what's in their head, but they really need a big dose of reality. My school is full of that stuff. These are the girls that dress up for class, heels and all. Their face is caked on with three inches of makeup and they are sporting an orange hue from fake baking. It's college, why dress up? Who will you impress? I know i just dab on a little concealer and mascara, but that's as good as it gets. I change into outer wear, but i don't go as far as wearing stilettos. That's not the worst of it. When you pass the girls or they pass you, they give you a once over. Some girls are good at it, but most of the time you can tell that they are mentally comparing you to themselves. The way it goes is, a snotty girl will walk past you. She will Look you up and down and start mentally assessing you. She will then rank you on a scale as a.) better than her b.) below her c.) equal to her. How do i know this? Because that's what i see. The answer is in the way the snotty girls act and how they just look at you. It happens everyday. What's funny is that when i start to become friends with them, they realize that their first impression of me was totally wrong/off. In high school, i remember my guy friend thought that i was a snooty bitch. When we became good friends, he told me that he was so wrong and was glad that he was wrong. I'm glad too! I don't want to be known as a snooty bitch because i'm not. Some girls think i'm in my own realm of all-things-happy because i'm smiling all the time and have extra energy to spare. I am that, but i have substance...and a few bad days. Girls are crazy and i don't think i can stand the mix of "crazy/hot stuff-shiznit/snotty/butthole" all in one. That's a bit too much to handle and i commend girls who can befriend those types of people.

If you've been reading, you probably know that i'm a huge fan of dancing with the stars. I can safely say, i now know why Priscilla Presley's face is messed up. I knew something was wrong. I thought she went botox happy, but apparently it's a bigger, messier problem.

That was her before picture. I think this was Priscilla in '88. I don't see why she needed any fixing. She was gorgeous already. It's quite sad. When i saw her dancing, i was transfixed on her face. There were no wrinkles, laugh lines, emotion or anything. I barely saw her crack a smile. Well, she has reason to be. Presley was one of the victims of a botox scam by a doctor that was nicknamed Dr. Jiffy Tube. This is because he injected Presley's face with industrial, low-grade silicone - the substance used to lubricate car parts. [read more here] Poor thing thought she was getting the best botox out there. That left her with a lot of problems. "Watching the show, you can see that a whole group of things has gone wrong. There is no movement at all in her face, no expression. No expert in botox would leave you like that. Her chin is too masculine and wide. It's too big of an implant. It looks manly. Her eyes are smaller. It looks like someone used too much filler around them. Her mouth is uneven. It's almost like a Bell's palsy on one side, as if there's been nerve damage." Those are harsh words coming from a botox expert. I don't get why Presley would do such a thing. You would think she would look up the person's credibility. the crazy things women do for beauty.

I'm going camping soon. crazy thought.

Cute picture of the day.

Surprise! When you finish your cup of coffee a little friend is waiting to say hello.
What a darling concept.

More Gripes? More Toilets?

I was really bored in class and started to draw on myself. I thought it was so amusing that i started chuckling to myself. It's quite ridiculous. I never draw on myself. When i was little, my dad always said if you draw on yourself you'll turn into one of those gangsters that sport tattoos. He takes it a step further and says, "you want a tattoo right? You ant to grow up to be a low-life gangster." I always thought it was silly, but i never drew on myself after that. He scared me too much. Today, i feel a lot better. All i have left is a test on Friday and then i'll be ok. Spring break is so close i can almost taste it. I just need a refresher. I'm looking at April calender and it looks super busy. Oh, dear.

Sometimes, people frustrate me. Remember that little cartoon i put up awhile that was in Korean? Well it depicts two types of acorns. The first is the complainer stuck in a situation. Instead of trying to get yourself out of the situation, you kind of just sit there and gripe about the unfairness that is life. The second is the do-er, trying to get yourself out of a bad spot. Instead of sitting there useless, you do all you can to get yourself out or make the situation better. So, i'm taking on that philosophy. If something is wrong, do something about instead of complain about the wrongness of the situation. Its not going to get any better if you vent. Well, it might make you feel better but the situation remains. It might also be the thinking at fault. If you are so focused on wanting a certain outcome, you totally overlook how to achieve it. For instance, say you want to throw a party, a great kick-butt, shiznit party. Instead of doing stuff to make the party great, you sit on your butt and just expect it to happen. How in the world is that going to work? You have to work from the bottom up. There's the food, music, decorations, publicity that all goes into making a part great. You can't just jump from one thing to another and expect greatness. It doesn't work that way; life doesn't work that way. About the picture, i know it's a creepy looking guy, but i thought it was semi-appropriate. I don't know how his eye is bulging out like that. It looks freaky. I'm going to try to make that face.

Since i'm hungry, i'm thinking about all the really good things i can whip up really fast. The best thing is an easy sandwich. I like my sandwich to have mustard, turkey meat, and loads of vegetables like spinach, tomatoes (even though it's technically a fruit), mushrooms, pickles, jalapeños, and cucumbers. If there's guacamole, throw that into the mix. It's super yummy. For some reason, i don't like putting cheese into my sandwich. Along with that, i like to put salad dressing. Thousand Island dressing is really good with a nicely made sandwich and it's healthy. If you have ramen, it's even better and easier since you just pop everything into the microwave. What i like to do is cook some eggs first and have that at the bottom of my ramen. Make sure that its thoroughly cooked before you pour the ramen on top. After that, you can put extra ingredients like mystery meat (cha), shrimp, and your vegetables like mushroom and spinach. It's super simple and super easy. Sometimes i eat that as a midnight snack. Right now, i really miss making spaghetti. I'm pretty good at it and the bf can testify! It's the only thing i can properly make. Too bad i don't know how to make the sauce from scratch. I think i might want to investigate the how-to's of going about that. That might be my cooking attempt over the break. Goodness, i'm so hungry.

Wow, i accidentally threw up a little in my mouth. When i swallowed it, i made this really nasty face thinking that it was really gross. I hate it when those accidental things happen. There were people passing out sunglasses around campus. They are quite retro. Thank you Barcus!

Why is the quality so bad? It's my webcam. I was too lazy to adjust anything so it turned out horrible. But those are the glasses they passed out. If there's anything FREE, i'm there. They are orange, if i had a choice i would've gotten the hot pink ones. Maybe the bf likes? My desk is really dirty and i have random things spewing everywhere. It's a sad, sad sight.

You know what else is sad? A woman stuck in a toilet...for not 2 sec, not 2 min, but 2 years. I randomly chose this picture to represent the article i'm talking about. In Wichita, Kansas a woman got stuck in her boyfriend's toilet seat for so long that her body began to grow around it. She initially refused help because she was "embarrassed." After convincing, the toilet seat was pried off the toilet and she was sent to the hospital (toilet seat still attached to her rump). Authorities have yet to determine the fate of the woman's bf who promised to feed her everyday during the toilet seat fiasco. He asked her is she needed help everyday and her response would always be, "Maybe tomorrow." There is no mention as to why it took the boyfriend 2 years to make the phone call. [read more here] How the heck does someone get stuck in the toilet? And why did it take 2 years for someone to speak up? Even though the experience was probably personally mortifying, it wouldn't have to be publicly mortifying if you asked for help right then and there. Shame on the boyfriend for not helping his girlfriend out. It's so insane how people think nowadays. If i ever get stuck in an embarrassing situation, i expect ya'll (friends, family, bf) to think on my behalf and act upon the better judgment. Otherwise i'd be in the news categorized under "Crazy Woman."

Another crazy thing i read today should be categorized as bizarre. I think the picture explains everything.
How crazy can inventors get? Here's your chance to get your very own Bitchcruiser. These are available for bid on ebay. You've got until March 16th to decide. If you are going bid on this, make sure to tap into your life savings fund because it's starting at $2,303.81. [source] I had a good laugh at this for awhile when i first came upon this. I've got a knack for finding weird articles. Anyways, this is majorly tacky. It's just screaming, "i haven't had sex in too long, so this is the outcome." I can't believe anyone would ride this in public, much less by it. You are either really perverted, a sex addict, or something sex-deprived to be interested in this. If you know anyone buying this, do tell.

Cute picture of the day.

This is my kind of car.

Dissecting Girls

This is what my hair looked like by the end of last night. I looked like i partied hard, but truthfully, i barely partied. The bf likes this picture, i just like the messy, wavy hair. It looks relaxed and alive. Right now, i'm testing the hot honey thing. I dabbed a little honey into a little lid and warmed it up. I stuck it in the microwave for about 10 secs. Since i only used a dab of honey, i probably should've only warmed it up 5-7 secs. After it's warmed, i used my finger to place the honey in troubled areas on my face. In this case, i slathered it all over my nose. I'm leaving it on for about 10-15 min. It should look like a clear gel mask on your nose. When i washed it off, my nose seems a lot softer. I'm going to keep doing this for a week and if i'll document the results by the end of this week. Hopefully this will help the blackheads go away. If this works, i'm going to recommend everyone i know suffering from blackhead woes to try this out. My skin is starting to clear up. I still want it clearer though. I think i'm going to look for natural masks and start experimenting. I used to do aspirin masks and that worked for awhile. Before the aspirin mask, i did lemon and then there was the aloe vera, and before that was the egg mask. My mom is really into trying out new skin care things and so she got me into them as well. I kind of miss treating my skin well.

What is this delectable dessert you ask? It's called spaghetti ice cream. You are probably thinking it's disgusting...cold spaghetti. [read more here] It just imitates the spaghetti look. There are so spaghetti products in the ice cream itself. It's just vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and grated white chocolate. That is so cool! I really want to try something like this. I don't know how people come up with stuff like this. Creative juices are definitely working for the makers. Apparently, the ice cream is similar to Dip n Dots, but it's better tasting. I love ice cream. It's one of my many vices. I can eat it all day, non-stop.

For some reason, this topic is always brought up (while i'm self-reflecting or around friends). I'm constantly reminded about the different types of friends i have. Recently, i've come to face a lot more "fakes" than i've wanted to encounter. To one person or group of friends, they appear one way and to another group they appear totally different. In front of me they'd act childish, but while on the phone with their bf, they would act 10x more mature. What is that?? The little act gets annoying after awhile. And then there's the character of a girl. There is the type of girl that can talk crap about other girls, but when you start saying things about their friends or something about their personality...she starts to show her fangs. It's all about manipulation and how well you can string people along and still hold up your front. Girls are dangerous. I've met those types of girls in the last couple of weeks and it's really scary to see girls put their power to use. They know they have the upper hand and when their dark side comes out, it's like a double-take. On the outside, they appear to be the sweetest girls, but deep down it's like their harbor dark feelings towards unsuspecting victims. I say unsuspecting because sometimes you don't even know you are on their bad side until it's too late. I guess by talking through this, i'm trying to understand what girls are all about or at least trying to.

Girls are unpredictable and we're more unpredictable when it comes to love. I say that because tonight i watched the play Fiddler on the Roof. The father sacrificed so much for his daughter's. He wanted them to be happy and find love. It's all very sweet. But, tt's also really sad. It makes you think about the diaspora happening back then and present day. I kind of wanted to see the whole 20 years later sorta thing. I guess that's up to my own imagination. The theater i was sitting in was beautiful! The set was fantastic and the orchestra was really great. For awhile you really though that the music came off of a cd or something.

For dinner i had cereal, a banana, and half a bagel. When Fiddler was done, i was starving. I ended up eating a sandwich and microwaving some soup. That reminds me, this morning i volunteered at R.O.C.K. A place where disabled kids/adults ride horses as a form of therapy. They are not handicapped, they are handicapable! It was awful (not the kids, i mean the weather!). The weather was against us and the wind was blowing in our faces. My nose was dripping and i almost got pooped on. I was standing next to the horse towards the horse's rump and LeRoy (the horse) decided to take a crap. The poo came in pellets and barely missed me. It smelled really bad. Today was orientation and i learned how to drag people off horses in case of emergencies. I could barely life the person off the horse because the person was bigger than me and the horse was so tall. Then, i became the person who got hauled off, twice. The first time she picked me up and dumped me on the floor. The second time, another girl wrapped her arms too high (cutting into my boobage area) and proceeded to drag me off. I don't know how this is going to work. Me and horses aren't a good mix.
I've never been good with horses, but the only actual experience i've had with them was today. So i'm kind of indifferent right now. What i know i don't like are nasty cockroaches. In Malaysia, a girl woke up with an ear ache. She had no clue what it was until her family took a closer look into her ear. Turns out a nasty cockroach found its way into her ear. The family turned to the hospital for help and they're doing all they can for her. [read more here] That is crazy. I've always been afraid of eating spiders in my sleep, now i have to worry about cockroaches. Those little bugs have always scared me. During my soph year of hs, i had a teacher who took advantage of the fact that i was squeemish towards everything, especially cockroaches. He just liked my reactions and so he always found ways to torment me. One time we were watching a boring documentary and i had fallen asleep. He quietly walked towards me and placed a fake, rubber cockroach on my desk right near my face. When i woke up and saw that thing, i screamed and jump maybe 5ft away from my desk. It was truly disgusting. It looked so real! Sometimes he would randomly throw them at em during class because he thought of me as class entertainment. How nice.

Cute picture of the day.
