Superstars of Dance

I'm taking advantage of all the time i have to blog. I'm concentrating on keeping the little brother off the computer. I'm sick of him coming home from school and jumping on the computer to play...runescape? It's massively cold today. LS came home complaining about icicles. LB came home telling me there might be snow. That's texas weather for ya. It's so random. We'll be flying high in the 60's and the next day it'll drop to low 30's.

I'm watching Superstars of Dance right now and it's super duper amazing. The South African duet dancing was absolutely beautiful. The guy dancer literally tossed the woman dancer like a little bean bag. They were both so sculpted and bronze...i was captivated! This is such a fun show to watch. There are only 8 countries represented. For some reason, China brought their shaolin monks? That is so stereotypical. Is kung-fu dance? Why is this 18 y.o kung-fuing in a dance competition? I feel so bad for the Chinese solo guy. He doesn't understand a lick of english...so when he's getting the scores (7-8) he looks so sad. POOR BABY...i want to hug him.

The U.S brings out their taping shoes. That's so lame. I know, i'm drinking haterade.

Anyways, i'm going to have lunch with my friends tomorrow. That means i have to wake up earlier than i normally do. They live 45 min away and since there are two of them and one of me...i'm driving to them. That's not so bad...i like driving.

The worst thing about not being able to talk to your friends is that you're left with imagination.

Olympics

I scurried around all day to buy school supplies for my little brother. I always thought he was a blue person, so everything i picked out was blue. Apparently, the boy has developed tastes. It was so cute to see him choose his little shoes and binders. He's so darned picky, too. For a simple binder, i had to shop around several days and to several different stores before little brother found one he liked. It was such a grueling process. At least i got something out of it...besides spending quality time with my brother. I snatched up a beautiful teal colored tote. My obsession used to be purses. Of course, since then it's moved on to shoes.

There was a commercial that came on that brought on a response that made me chuckle. The commercial was advertising body wash. My little brother said, "that's what i need" and i said, "no, you just need to learn to scrub." I'm going to sound like a creep, but i wanted to know how he showered so i watched him one time. The only reason why i watched him was because after every shower, he doesn't smell crispy clean. Apparently, he doesn't use the loofah to scrub...so he sort of just stands in the shower and casually lathers his body with body wash. Gross. I now wonder how he brushes his teeth.

I just witnessed the most amazing 4x100m relay race...ever. France said they'd "smash" us. Because the French team was the clear favorite, i was hoping for a miracle. I was so excited that we won that i rallied my LS and my pa. It was amazing. AMAZING. I don't even know what to say because i'm so speechless. Watching the recaps, i'm a little sad that i missed the amazing basketball game. Oh well.

I hope ya'll are watching the olympics, too.

Bun Rieu

After making that YT vid, it kind of solidifies my creeper status. After my little sister posted up hers, it solidifies my embarrassing awkwardness. I woke up around 12 today, i don't know what happened to time. My momma came home and made bun rieu for us. It's one of my favorite dishes and i really want to learn how to make it.

It's a seafood/tomato based soup. Pure bliss! The combination kind of sounds gross, but it;s so yummy. It reminds me of one of my favorite snacks: green mango * sugared fish sauce. After brunch, we drove to little brother's kumon followed by his vigorous hour of golf practice. While little brother was at kumon, i walked around blockbuster with little sister. We ended up renting two videos. I'm not a big fan of blockbuster, but we were craving air condition so we stopped by the place. The problem is if you're in there, you kind of feel obligated to walk out renting at least one of their vids. At least that's how i feel. What's funny is that i can easily walk into a restaurant, have the hostess greet me, look at the menu and walk out because nothing looked appetizing. If only i can do that to blockbuster. I ended up renting the diving bell and the butterfly and slipstream. I've been wanting to see diving bell butterfly for the longest time, so i finally picked it up today.

I discovered a new t.v show. It's one of the cutest things i've seen so far. I think it's called america's greatest dog. I noted that the dogs looked like their owners. When i was little, my dad bought a huge dog book filled with different breeds all around the world. My sisters and i would flip through the book and find dogs that looked like us. Ahh, those were the days. Tomorrow is 7-11, go and get your free slushies. For some reason, my area is limited in 7-11s. I barely see them anywhere. My summer is so uneventful.

I'm watching slipstream right now. I'll review it afterwards.

Tonight, i will leave you with some awkward dancing.

Dentist and Healthy Pizza

The more you keep yourself busy, the better you feel. I was a semi-busy bee today. It was fun. My little sister came into my room around 11.30, waking me up to ask me to take her to the dentist. I came downstairs to the perfume of freshly baked, healthy pizza. My older sister was busy making breakfast. How nice of her. Before we went to sleep yesterday, she was kind enough to inform the family that she would be leaving for Austin. So we ate breakfast and then we headed to Smile Dentist. My mom actually discovered this place a couple of years ago. He's the same dentist that took out two of my wisdom teeth two years ago. It was nice to visit him. I don't know how long i waited, but the wait wasn't so bad. I ended up reading Bazaar magazine cover to cover before my little brother came out proudly proclaiming his no cavity status. When my little sister came out, i ended up talking to the dentist for awhile. He remembered me! I was really surprised. The last time he saw me, he was picking at my teeth. It was kind of funny.

When we came home, my little sister decided to go to the library so i stayed home cleaning house. It's extremely hot today. The weather is unpleasant and gas prices are rising again. I think it was about 98 degrees. By the time little sister came home from the library, i decided i wanted to make a couple of vids. While she was changing upstairs, she told me i had mail. I never get mail so i was really confused. I started running and jumping to the counter all to find a cup of ice cream...mint choco chip ice cream that is. It was delish and a wonderful surprise. So anyways, we ended up eating ice cream and making about 4 different vids. That's mighty impressivo. I kind of feel bad because my little sister has been editing most of the day.

Come 7, we all sat down around the t.v to watch SYTYCD. I've been so behind in that show. It was amazing to watch the closing dance. Asian Katee and her partner, black Joshua danced a bollywood number. It was fab. I love indian movies and think they are the most amazingest things...ever. I've been really lazy about blogging and haven't been on a roll ever since i've left for vacation. Hopefully, things will get better from here.

Cute picture of the day.

Packing and the Vinny Dance

Today is friday, the day before saturday. That means hectic cleaning before the trip. How dreadful. I woke up around 12 to my dad's phone call. We were going out for lunch since we don't have anymore food in the fridge. We've been slowly purging that thing in preparation of the trip. When we got back from the restaurant, i had to run a couple of errands. Little sister and i went to the library to drop off books and pick up books for little brother. He's getting better at reading, thank goodness. I think he actually likes it now. Out of recommendation, i got a hemingway book. Yes, he is the great literary genius. I kind of gave up on those kind of authors awhile back. Their long winded-ness is lost in translation for me. For instance, I read the scarlet letter and thought it was an overall really good book. It was just so descriptive for me to stay intrigued. Do you need 5 pages to describe what a blooming flower looks like? Is that necessary? I think it all comes back to Moby Dick for me. That ruined my "classics" venture. If i wanted to learn about the anatomy of a whale, i'd go to the zoo. I'm so lame. Anyways, i'm giving hemingway a try. After the library, we drove to Wal-Mart to pick up motion sickness pills just in case someone's stomach decides to play. When i got home, the house was a mess. My mom wants the house pristine before we leave so that we can come home to a clean house.

Two things i don't like doing: cleaning and packing. No wonder my room is a mess. My parents used to call my room a pig pen. They don't say that anymore because my room is the cleanest out of all my siblings. har har har. Since i've been home, i haven't taken all my clothes out of my boxes. Packing requries me to take my junk of out boxes and see what clothes i want to take. My mom asked me for my opinion on what outfits to bring. I go through her closet and start taking random dresses out to show her. She inspects my choices and starts taking out some of my picks. Her reasoning is that she's already pictured in most of the dresses i picked out. Now i know why she's been shopping so much. Her closet is full of new dresses i've never seen before. Geez.

Jack Johnson is packing music. I have a pink duffel bag and a hot pink suitcase. I don't know how i accumulated pink carry-ons. The duffel carries everyday clothes and the suitcase is stuffed with dresses. I packed for both me and my little sister. She still has her luggage, but we share the hot pink one. That's better than my mom. She managed 3 suitcases, a huge tote, and a briefcase-esque carry-on. Two suitcases are for clothes and another is specifically set aside for shoes. Amazingly, i'm only bringing two pairs. I asked her i she could stuff mine in and she says, "i don't have room." My mom is so high maintenance. I don't know what i can carry on and what i have to send off. With all the rules changing, i'm afraid to carry things that i care about just to have them throw it away in the end. To not work my muscles so much, i switched purses. I went through my momma's collection and nabbed me a clutch. It looks rustic. I guess i chose that word because it's got a red-wood color to it.

On my checklist, panties are at the top. I remembered packing for a trip once and totally forgot to bring my undergarments. What the heck?! Toothbrush is easily forgettable... but panties? After my morning routine, i should be ready to go. I think i'm going to leave my laptop at home. I don't want to anger my parents. They are mean when angered. I took a break from packing around 7 to watch t.v. There's this show called "dance machine." It's sort of like a show for average joes to show off their dance moves for money and a weird looking dance machine trophy. There was this guy named Vinny that did this crazy, ridiculous dance move. It was crazy because it's not really a dance move? Observe:

It's more of a duck waddle. I know my hair is weird. It's kinda in a lopsided ponytail because i don't like putting it up dead center. I'm an 80's girl at heart! I also cleared the area so that i could demonstrate. My room kind of looks clean? Yay. Unfortunately, my man Vinny didn't win. I don't blame him for losing, i blame the voters! ....Naw, actually he was up against Jeff, the guy i was rooting for. Vinny kept doing this pelvis thrust thing that annoyed me. It's so annoying that i won't demonstrate the move. I'll spare you...this time. After the weird dance was over, i watched the duel. It was the first time i actually saw the show and it's pretty interesting. I'm not sure if i like the game. It's all about strategy and outlasting your opponent. I guess in essence, all games are like that? For dinner, i ran around the kitchen eating little bits of everything. It was weird. Someone made corn-spam rice? So i ate a spoonful of that and ran over to the counter and ate a spoonful of bean chili, followed by a slice of banh mi. The cycle was continuous until i felt full. I washed it all down with some choco ice cream. Yum.

Cute picture of the day.

Moneygami! I want to learn how to do the puppy one.

JOHP & YT going ons

I bought a babydoll dress. I have no idea how it will look on me because i made little sister try it on before i bought it. It's cutesy...maybe a little too cutesy for me to pull off. I don't know. I woke up with this massive, hollow feeling inside my tum. Mix that with queasiness and cramping and you've got what JOHP (this acronym is courtesy of the bf, since i usually use GOHP) feels like. It sucks. For some reason i was burping all day, too. Today i ate korean. Since we always order way more that we need, i had tons of leftovers. I intended to feed my pa the food for dinner. He appreciates food of all kind. You wouldn't think that because he's old, but it's true. He was the first person to introduce me to mexican and japanese food. I don't really like onion, but i'll eat it in mexican food. I tried to pick it out once and he nearly beat me for it. That was a semi-bad experience. When i got home, i found out older sister made her infamous black bean soup. It's more of a chili, but since she made it i'll call it a soup. It's really easy to make and the best part is that it's healthy! It's high in fiber so it helps out your digestive track. Maybe i should make a vid on how to make this. Out of all the healthy meals my older sis makes, this is my fave dish. My mom said the same. I found out that my mom, under my sister's healthy persuasion, actually used yogurt as a substitute for coconut milk in the curry mom made yesterday. It's healthier, but i'm not sure if i wanted to sacrifice the taste. My sister is a health nazi. That can be a good or bad thing, depending on the day.

I was able to do my five facts vid today. I re-did it because my first one was a mess. Since i'm lazy and i don't want to edit, i'm depending on the little sister to pull me out of a rut. It should be easy because it was a pretty clean run...i think? The 5 facts thing has been going on for awhile on YT and since i'm a late comer, someone tagged me and as a result, i had to cough up a couple of facts about myself. I don't know if they are any interesting, but i managed to come up with 5. I was also tagged to do a naked vlog which requires you to be naked or appear to be naked. I don't think i can pull that off properly so i opted for the facts one. As i'm writing this blog, i'm nose peeling. It's kinda gross. I'm waging a huge battle against my blackheads and my little sister has joined the fight. We are using this nose peel that i hope works. I bought it a long time ago but haven't managed to try it out as much as i wanted to. Before the trip comes, i want to try to pretty it up a bit. I don't know if last minute efforts work or not, but here's to trying! That was a weird tangent i ran on. So back on the YT thing, a couple of friends called my little sister to recruit her onto ustream teams? Apparently, in the process i was recruited, too? We are green team? I love how sure i am about things. Nothing gets past me.

At 6.30, the amazingly talented Chris Cendana (check him out on YT) hosted a stickam concert. He is beyond words. He sounds GREAT live. You know how there are some singers that can't sing, but are great performers? Yea, well he's both. Great performer and great singer. Even more, he composes his own stuff. I don't know why he's not as famous as, lets say Britney Spears. Maybe it's because his slate is clean and he's actually talented. I don't know. So we were on stickam with him until 7 when we SYTYCD captured our attention. The show is amazing. My favorites still stand: Katee & Joshua, Twitchington, Chelsie & Mark, Kourtni & Mark. The two that i like the most are team Katee & Joshua and Chelsie & Mark. It's too early to develop single favorites because they are still coupled together. After that show, there was news updating the weather conditions. There are serious T-Storms and flood watches coming our way. It's kind of typical for texas weather. Here, everything is fair game. One day you might have smoldering hot heat and the next day might be fueled by lightening. You get used to it when you've lived in texas for practically your whole life.

I'll be going to CA/MX this saturday. I was planning on taking my laptop with me, but my parents are against it. This saddens me. I really wanted to stay in touch. I also wanted to keep blogging. How can i go a week without blogging about my happenings? My little readership will go extinct because of my decline in posts. Actually, it's not that dramatics. I don't even know if anyone keeps up with this little thing. This blog is for me to keep my memories intact. I want to be able to look back and make something out of my life. We'll see what will happen. My parents are really excited about this trip. They started prepping us since Monday. We have to start packing (on monday) because the plane waits for noone. We took a 3-D virtual tour of the boat we're cruising it. It's all really cute. The only problem is that we have to dress up in evening wear every night we're there. That shouldn't be a problem except i don't have clothes! I over exaggerate. I have clothes, but i guess i don't have clothes i want to wear. I think whatever happens, i'll manage. In CA, i'll be staying in Santa Ana. If anyone wants to meet up, call me! We shall arrange something. Since i'm always out of the loop, i don't know exactly where i'll be staying, but we will make do and roll with the punches.

I've played sudoku, but by no means am i an addict. Apparently, a drugs trial lasting more than three months and costing taxpayers over A$1 million has been aborted after a number of jurors were found to have spent up to half the time playing sudoku. A juror reported that the details were a little long winded, so they concentrated on the midn game instead. A new trial will be issued in a few weeks once a new jury has been called. [source] It's so like people to do to something like that. We have attentions like goldfish. I would hate to put my life in the hands of an inattentive jury.

Cute picture of the day.

If i could stuff Ollie in this, i would. She's gotten to big she's outgrown everything i bought her. Gosh darn.

Yuma and Momma drama

First of all, like most movies i watch, i thought the cast was excellent. Kudus to the casters. I was never a really big fan of Russell Crowe. Maybe it's because i haven't really seen him in any movies. I know, i've heard that Gladiator is a must see, but it doesn't really intrigue me enough to sit down and watch that thing. This movie might have changed things for me. He's absolutely brilliant. He's charming, conniving, intelligent and very charismatic. He also plays the bad guy. On the other hand, you have the fantastic Christian Bale. These are great actors and played their characters to no fault. Watching the movie, i was torn. I loved both the characters. Although Crowe plays the criminal mastermind, you come to understand his complexity and want him to escape. At the same time, you sympathize with the protagonist because he's trying to make a life better for his family. Isn't it crazy that you can feel for both characters so strongly? The supporting cast was equally amazing. I particularly liked Ben Foster, the person behind the character Charlie. He's a crazy maniacal soul that terrifies you. He's somewhat of a loose cannon, loyal to the end. For some reason, this crazy mean-head is my favorite character in the movie. Besides the actors, the directing was very good. I kind of like the updated Western. The music was also great. Overall, i really liked it. The only problem for me is that it's a very somber ending. I don't want to give it away, but if you don't like death and violence...don't watch it. I give this movie a 4.5/5.

My mom cooked today. She made curry. Good thing i've been eating tons of curry lately. Anyways, i noticed that it's not the usual curry that she makes. It seemed a lot more watery. Apparently, my older sister told her to make it healthier by not using coconut milk. So now, it was watery and salty. That's a great combination. Older sis always has to ruin things for everyone...food-wise that is. My parents and i always get into a little tiff. Today it was about the car. So my aunt that just came over from VN is without a car. The car that was given to her broke down, so she has no means of transportation for her kids. That's bad because she takes her kids to summer school and such. My mom offered to lend her our white car and no one has a big problem about it. The thing is, we have an uncle that has 3 cars, 1 of which is unused but refuses to lend her the car. Selfish is all i can say. So we are lending our car to her, but my dad says that my mom has to go over there and show the car around to the new drivers just for precaution. My mom makes a big deal out of it and starts nagging at dad. She keeps saying how annoying he is for yelling at her. The thing is, he's yelling because she's freaking rude to him and yelled at him first. My dad said that their we have to keep insurance in mind, accidents might happen, etc. My mom says, "why are you bringing people into this discussion." Uh...DUH, because they are an important factor in driving. You might be the most responsible driver, but the likes of you getting into an accident because of some idiot you can't control is likely. She dismisses all of what we were saying and just goes on her business. My mother is insane.

I watched the first show of Wipeout today. It was funny, i remembered i laughed a lot. The stunts are really crazy. I don't think i could make the obstacle course. I remembered seeing something like this on a japanese game show though. I wouldn't be surprised if we ripped this one off of the japanese. After that show, there was the show "I Survived a Japanese Game Show." It was really interesting. It's a really famous game show that i've seen a lot on youtube. It's really crazy. I don't know how they think of these stunts. I think that atmosphered also adds to the experience. The people in the stands were crazy about the game. There was a M symbol that they do during the show that was kind of neat. I tried to replicate it, but it didn't really work. My brother is really fascinated though. He tried the M sign and during commercial, he would do the long jump around the house. It kind of reminds of what i did when i was little. It's been so long , i can't believe i remember things like that.

The GOHP has returned. I am breaking out. It's pretty gross.

Cute picture of the day.

I love this picture.

Hulk and Houston Recap

I saw this movie today. It is AMAZING. It's so action-packed. Growing up, i watched the cartoon version of the hulk and was never fond of the character. This movie portrays a multifaceted bruce banner/the hulk. Watching it kind of reminded me of the misunderstood frankenstein. Throughout the movie, i felt sorry for hulk and just wanted him to be accepted for who he was. The storyline was very good. The ending could've been more clear cut, but it's still very satisfying. I really liked the cast. Edward Norton was charming and portrayed "the torn soul" to the tee. I always thought liv tyler was beautiful. She has a grace to her that i just love. I absolutely detested the evil guy. I guess he did his job. I was definitely feeling the movie. It kept me on my toes. I didn't know what was going to happen because i was trying to keep up with what was happening. I yelled and gasped so much during the movie that i'm surprised people didn't tell me to shut up. It was funny when i gasped because i saw/heard bottles clanking together really loudly. I blame it on over stimulation. Personally, i like this movie over iron man. It was cool at the end when iron man makes a cameo, hinting that there's going to be a justice league-esque thing happening. I'm guessing a future movie installment. I give this movie a 4.8/5. The missing .2 is because i wanted a more solid ending between the couple. It's not satisfying, but at least i know that love is still in the air.

So, i want to recap the weekend because i couldn't do it before. All in all, it was a fab getaway. I ended up driving for most of the way and gave up the last hour to my little sister. She's one dangerous driver because of her inexperience and the crazy houston traffic. I cruised control most of the way and ended up sitting like that because my legs would get tired or my half my butt would go numb. I left on saturday and we (my little sister and bro) arrived in houston around 5-ish. I initially looked for a cheap hotel because i was only planning on staying one night with them. The first hotel i found, America's Inn, was 15 min away from where little sister was staying with her YT friends. When i arrived at the hotel, it was totally creepers. Creepers were staying us down and makign me feel uncomfortable. I was seriously afraid of getting raped. So i relocated and got a room in my little sisters hotel. The first night was mainly a bucket of introductions. I met HappySlip, CCendana, NinjaDrops, Liongali, and KevJumba, all of which can be found on YT. They are absolutely, positively, wonderful people. On Sunday, there was an official YT gathering at a place in houston. The weather was insanely hot and so everyone was sweating buckets.

After the thing ended, we went to eat at a buffet that cost me $100. Golly. Because it was so expensive, i got everyone to sign my receipt. It's very gratifying to see that in the process of losing money for overpriced food, i gained new friends. That night, the bf came into houston and we ended up watching two movies: The Shadowless Sword (Kor movie) and The Terminal. I'm not sure how much i like those movies. I'll have to do a break down and rate them later. Monday came along and it was all very chilled. The YTers got kicked out of two stores and ended up buying a lot of tim tams to do tim tam slams. It was very nice. The bf and i went out with his brothers for dinner. We ate this weird hotpot that made my tongue numb. I can't believe i was in houston and didn't even try any shopping areas. Regret numero uno. It's not that big of a regret, but it's about an ounce right now. I really want new sandals. I'm not feeling the ones i have. I don't know where i should go to look for them though. Gosh darns and a pack of gum. We left on tuesday and went straight to Barton Springs. It's not as cool as i thought it would be. It was cheap though! During the whole ride there, both my little bro and sis were crying of the whole YT parting. It was sad. Little brother took it hard because when we got home and got ready for bed, he started crying again. He's so emotional. Anyways, Barton Springs would've been cooler if there wasn't so much algae. That was nasty. I'll have pics of that up shortly.

I'm star-struck. KevJumba and HappySlip added me on Youtube. I'm a happy turtle now. Life feels a little bit more complete. I was so excited that my subscriptions increased. I'm kind of amazed that it happened so fast, but it's nice to know that i'm watched! Yay. I'm at 103 subs...and counting. Now, i just have to think of more things to do. We shall see.

I was watching SoDance (so you think you can dance) and it was amazing. If you haven't noticed, i love dancing shows. I now have favorites! I love Twitchington, Katie & Joshua (she's asian!), Comfort & Chris, Chelsie & Mark. I also have fave choreographers: Mia Michaels and Tyce Diorio. This is going to be a good season.

Isn't it bizarre when you read bizarre news? Apparently, a man kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and brought her home so she could do his ironing. [read more here] How low can you go?

Cute picture of the day.

Mini VS Toyota

My mom is two things: annoying and funny. Unlike the other day where i felt like i was 10, she allowed me to grow up a little...to 16. I don't know what was up with today but people wanted to kill me. After all the near-accidents, my mom concludes that i'm one of the worst drivers on the road. Oh great. I was already peeved at her for waking me up at 10, so she took us out to eat at Bistro B. Food made me less grouchy. Afterwards we headed towards the asian market to do a little shopping. We took the food home and set off to look at cars. We had our sights out on the mini cooper s and the toyota prius hybrid.

We looked at the mini cooper first. I test drove two cars and really liked them. The SA strapped me into the driver's seat and proceeded to explain to me all the functions. He was really nice, the only thing was that he spat a lot whenever he talked. So my whole thigh was covered in spit. It was really nasty. While i was in the car, i found myself talking to it already. I kept encouraging it and patting it so that it would run. My mom laughed and said that it did need a little encouragement, kind of like the little engine that could. My mom is fascinated and loves it to death. "it's so cuuutee." I'm just concerned about the space issue. I don't want people i haul around to feel cramped. There's little room, but it's also very spacious at the same time. I don't know if that makes sense. It's short and wide; there's a lot of comfort space for the driver and passenger. I've picked this color. I really like this clear blue they offer. Pair it with a white roof and it looks extremely delectable. The problem is that there are no cars on the site to buy. We have to order it and have it shipped to us. It takes about 6-8 weeks, roughly a month and a half to two months. After thoroughly examining the Cooper, we hiked our booty down to the toyota dealership to look at the prius.
We couldn't even test drive this one. There were no available ones on site. They are all sold out. My mom described it as, "sold as fast as shrimp in the asian supermarket." I already knew she didn't like it, but i wanted her to give it a chance. We were able to look inside of it and even then, my mom was putting it down. In my mom's words, "it looks like a mouse." The wait for this car is about 6-9 months, roughly a year to actually receive one. There's a long waiting list. The most appealing to me about this car is that it's extremely fuel efficient. There's also a lot of room in the back. I do admit, it's ugly but not bad. We talked to the SA for a little bit and then went home to talk to my dad about it.

When we came home, my mom went off on how ugly the mousy car was. She says that i like it because i'm born in the year of the cat and cat's like mouse. YES! Good reasoning mom. My dad wanted to see a 3-D picture of it, so i went on the internet and popped up the prius. My dad described it as a black person. How so? Well, it's got a big butt. Great dad! They went on and on about how mousy and ugly the car was and how it was so weird that i liked it. When we started talking about the cooper, my mom described it in such a way that made me laugh extremely hard. She said that the cooper is "a happy car." The eyes are round and bright and it just...smiles - happy car! I told her the prius smiles and she says, not as bright and not as much as the cooper. It can't smile because it's a mouse! It's so weird talking about cars with the parents. I don't even know how to react or even defend myself in an argument.

I was watching Hell's Kitchen. Thank goodness Matt left. He seems so stupid. He has a stupid face; i just can't stand looking at him. My mom decided to buy an ice cream cake so that we can test it out and compare it to albertson's ice cream cake. It's really big and really yummy.

Cute picture of the day.

I really like this for some reason.

Transamerica and Touching T.V

Was the nudity necessary? In my opinion, it isn't. I don't want to see a sea of dicks. I'm so glad i didn't see this in the theaters. I don't want to see an enlarged wee-wee on the big screen. So i popped in this movie and started watching it with little sister. The mistake i made was letting my little brother and mom join. This is definitely rater RRR! About 30 min into the movie, my mom was said, "this is bad movie" because she saw Kevin Zegers (Toby in the movie) snort some heroine. So i ended up taking the movie into my room and watching it on the laptop with little sister. Within minutes i saw flashing wee-wees. The plot, although slightly twisted, was original and interesting. The cast was strong and well-casted. Felicity Huffman was brilliant in this movie. She was very convincing of her character. My mom actually asked me if she was a man in real life. She stayed true to her character through the movie and even deepened her voice to hint her true identity. Overall, i really like the cast. If you don't already know, it's about a transexual getting ready for her gender reassignment operation and within weeks of it, realizes that she has a son. As the movie progresses, you'll learn the boy is a tortured soul. He was sexually abused at home by his father and decided to run away. Wanting to head to CA to make a living as a porn star, he makes due by whoring himself on the streets and dealing. I don't want to give everything away, but it was a very intricate film. There were aspects of the R rated film that i didn't like. I'm ok with nudity, especially in comedic films (Beerfest), but i don't know why excessive nudity was important in this dramedy. The oeprative word being excessive." Does the nudity enhance anything? Not really, it just kind of made me feel more uncomfortable. On top of that, the open ending made it seem like it was kinda thrown in there last minute. Like they weren't sure how to end it, so they just left it. Sigh. I give this a 3.8/5

I lazed around all day today. It was brilliant. I woke up to the sweet sounds...of my mother yelling my name at the top of her lungs. Apparently she needed me to take down her measurements so she could order ao dai online. Gosh darned. My mom is very concerned about my health. She keeps bringing it up to my dad and now they have long talks about me "not" eating. I don't know where they get that mess from. I eat when i want. It's usually noon time and 5, my dinner time. In between the day, i also snack a lot. Today, we had a bowl of green beans that i munched on. It was so delish. My mom also accuses me of looking "green." Maybe it's from the green beans i'm eating. I don't know what they're talking about. Later on, i got dressed to do some home workouts and she saw my "frame" and said i needed to eat more. I don't know why she keeps saying that. Everyone can vouch for me; i eat like con heo. I tried out two different dance based workouts. They didn't work out too well with me. I'm not coordinated enough to dance properly, so the were useless to me. I think i'm going to stick to tae-bo. I like the whole punching and kicking thing. The fast pace also keeps me on my feet. After tae-bo-ing, i feel like i accomplished something. I love that feeling.

I also love the feeling i get when i watch extreme makeover house edition. Every time i watch the stories, i start tearing up. It's so darned touching!! In this case, i've never seen a more dedicated son and brother. The brilliant 16 y.o Navajo was living a green lifestyle in a beaten down trailer house. The remade house was beautiful and very green! Love love!! They don't have to pay any electric bills. Isn't that amazing! They also got a hybrid SUV! I'm so jealous. I want a hybrid so bad! I don't care about the mini cooper anymore. It's too darned expensive and there isn't enough room for me. I'm a big girl and i need big space. I'm going to start shopping around soon. Since my older sister left for austin, my dad told me to go car shopping. He doesn't want her around because he knows all she'll do is yell at me. Good grief. We are walking on pins in the house when she's around.

What's happening this week? Not much. I'm planning to go to the water park. I think that's as exciting as it gets. Since i had a lot of time at home, i whipped out a song. My friend asked me to sing it. It's kind of blase to me, not my type of song. But since it was easy, i just recorded it. The song is originally sung by a lady named Amber Kuo, called "I Remember." It's a very fob-ylicious song. When i say that, it's because it doesn't really make sense. I don't know what else to say about this. Oh, it sounds weird. I had to make my own instrumental, so the quality isn't good. It also sounds like i'm "off" at places. It's because of the song!! I promise. Well, there's actually one part of the song that i hate!!! If you can identify it, props to you.

An identical twin is suing the Canary Islands for a mix-up at birth, causing her to be taken away by the wrong mother. She found out she had a twin when she was mistaken in a shop in 2001. The woman is suing the Canary Island health services for 3 million euros ($4.7 million) for emotional trauma, El Pais newspaper reported. "I wish I'd never found out about it," her lawyer quoted her as saying. [read more here] Isn't that crazy. It sounds so reality tv. I don't know if she's really traumatized. Maybe she's in it for the money. I don't know. I think that if she was housed in a good family, than why would this news damage her in any way. Hmm. I also understand her side of the story too. I just don't know which i believe more.

Gloomy Bear Hat

Meet Gloomy Bear. It's sitting on my head. LOL!! So the package the bf gave me came in today. When i came home, i opened it and saw a big pinky thing. I was mildly shocked. I told him i wanted one previous, not the same one, but a plushie hat. He told me wasn't going to buy it for me, so i thought it'd be something different. I'm really good at guessing so he didn't give me any hints. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know where to wear this thing. I don't go to any conventions, but i guess i can wear it during the winter? It's really cute in the back. There's a little bear body that wiggles when i wiggle! First, i didn't think it would fit because i have a big head, but it does! I'm amazed. It's really soft and it's pink! That's one of my favorite colors. As you can see, i'm wearing a pink tank and the chair behind me is pink. I'm so pinky. Pinky and the Brain! Which reminds me, when i was little i had a little bear with a bell inside of it. I named him pinky because i was uncreative. I don't know where it is anymore, but i remembered loving that thing dearly. Goodness. Memories. Although this hat is cute and all, why is it called Gloomy Bear? It doesn't look gloomy to me? I guess it depends on the person wearing the hat. Hmm.

I've been having a hard time installing stuff and configuring my laptop to fit my needs. I'm really big on audio, so i''m kind of disappointed in that aspect. The soundcard is horrible! I can't record anything at all without it sounding muffled. The muffling is just awful. There's also a load of static i can't get rid of. On top of that, there's no audio when i cam with others in chat. That sucks. I don't know how to fix this problem. If anyone has an idea, give me a shout. I would greatly appreciate the help.

Wal-Mart has bad service! Gosh darned. I went to the eye vision place to see if they have my little sister's records. I asked the lady and all she did was write the info on a scarp piece of paper and asked me to sit. 15 min passed and still nothing. So i went up to her and asked again. She gave me this mean look and said, "i was about to get to that, just sit down and i'll see what i can do." What the hell? I'm a customer! I hate it when people do that. After she found the records, she told me that i'd have to bring little sister back in to renew the files because they're all outdated. That sucks because she can't find her insurance card, meaning we'd have to pay full price. Gosh darned. I don't know what i'm going to do for my little sister. We're all really forgetful so we tend to lose stuff fairly fast. On top of that, we're really messy. That means everything is left a mess. I guess that's why i can't find anything. I was watching Clifford the Big Red Dog series today and saw that Emily Elizabeth has the same problem! She figured things out by cleaning her room. She's so smart.

I was watching So You Think You Can Dance (SYTCD) today. It's so good. I love love love dancing shows. I think they're so entertaining, a lot more entertaining to watch than singing shows like AI. There was this crazy viet guy that auditioned. He made it to the choreography stage. I think his name was Phuc Dat Nguyen. He was kind of ugly, but did this move that i like! It was the chin crawl. I'm going to learn it and show ya'll how to jam it out. I'm not a good dancer, but i love to dance. I'm planning on taking salsa lessons at Copa when i head to UT. YAY!

I watched The Orphanage today. I can officially check that off my to-watch list. How creepy is that picture? It sure does look scary. Let me tell you first off, i'm not a big horror-flick kind of girl. If i can watch it, i'm pretty sure any horror-flick rookie can. It wasn't very scary. It was more psychological. The movie focuses on a little family, Laura, Carlos and Simon. They move back to Laura's old home, the orphanage. I think the cast was 4 thumbs up. Everyone was very good at the character. I love laura! She's is such a brilliant actress. The kid, simon, is cute cute cute! And plus, my fave cousin is named simon, so i'm sold. The music was very suspenseful. Sometimes it felt misplaced though. I was confused at times because the music prepped you for something scary, but nothing happened. This was an overall average film. If i didn't like Guillermo Del Toro, i probably wouldn't have picked this up. I definitely had to think a little after watching the movie to piece everything together. But much to my amazement, similar to Del Toro's other movies, this had a bittersweet ending. It was happy and very sad at the same time. So all in all, i'm not sure if i'm 100% favoring this movie. I do think, it's a good enough film for you to at least check out. Your time won't be wasted!

Cute picture of the day.

Not really cute, but it'll do.

Stupid things and A.I results

If you ask me a question, expect the truth. It might sound mean, but it's my honest opinion. It's also something you asked for. So what am i getting at? Don't ask if you can't take it. A friend asked me two questions today: am i smart and am i lazy. I answered no and yes consecutively. First of all, there are multiple intelligences. When i said no to the smart question, i was referring to academics. My mind has been stuck in the academic world for so long that it's the first thing i think of when you ask me a "am i smart" question. Grades are a big deal to me, but it's not everything. Thus, being smart is not exclusively grade related. It's only one aspect of being a good student. You have to be motivated to do something, study hard, choose to study rather than play, want to better yourself, challenge yourself, organize, etc. The list goes on and on. That is what i mean being a good student/"academically" smart. It's the whole package, not just one part of the cake. For instance, the way he writes annoys me. Don't try to pretty up your writing with big words just to make yourself appear smart when it's not necessary. That proves nothing. Now when i answered lazy, of course i think he's lazy as hell. If he weren't lazy, he wouldn't be in his position right now. If he weren't lazy, i wouldn't be so upset when i'm around him. Why ask me to get the remote control or change the channel when the remote is sitting right in front of you on the coffee table? Why can't you get off your lazy butt and make yourself something to eat because like us, you have very capable hands and feet. When i answered truthfully, he got mad. What did he expect me to say? Yes, you are brilliant beyond measure and no, you are the most diligent person i've ever met.

I woke up today thinking it would be a better day. I saw the bf, he was sweet as ever. We took my older sister to the mall and ran a couple of errands. First we bought ollie a new crate at petco. I'm so glad ollie has a place to sleep now. It's probably a dream compared to her other little sleeping place. Then, we went to the mall. The bf wants new shoes for his older brother's engagement party. Dam hoi's are fun. I think they're pretty, too bad they are so darned long. Anyways, since the bf is picky he didn't find anything. My older sister was able to snag a dress for 6 dollars. It was really cute. Then we went to academy to buy my dad a hand/arm strengthener. Those things are really hard to work. I tried using it and could barely press them together. I guess that says a lot about my strength. If you ever ask me to punch someone, i don't think it would hurt that much. After the whole morning thing, we were hungry. I was craving sushi so we ended up at a hibachi place. It wasn't good. I must say it was close in quality to sushi sake. Sigh. What better to top that off than with an awful noob server. I don't take that "i'm still new at this" crap. Even though you are new, i'm sure there are certain things that you can pick up like checking up on your table. I didn't see "ranessa" anywhere after we ordered out sushi (which was...interesting, to say the least). Then she explains to us why her service was bad and i didn't even care to smile or say "it's ok" because i would totally be lying. Another bitchy moment for ya.

That started the bitch-train. So then we went home to change cars and went to pick little brother up. I dropped older sister off at the parent's place to work and picked up little brother and took him home. At around 3.30 my phone rings and my mom says i have to work. I don't mind working, but i hate hate hate wasting gas. I don't like driving back and forth like that. By that time i was cranky and majorly upset. I stopped by to pick up a subway sandwich for my mom because she was hungry. When i got there she devoured the whole thing. Of course, the first thing she said was "it tastes bad. i don't really like it. get sweet onion next time." It was hot and i was tired. After sitting in the make shift sauna, my heat cooled. I was relaxed and just did my job tending the front. My mom asked me about the laptop and how she was going to get it for me. The car is another question. That mini cooper is SO small. There is no room for anything. If it weren't so pricey, i would get it in a heartbeat. But with the minimal space and the jacked-up price, i don't feel like dishing out that kind of money. It's not worth it. So i might not have a car after all. I'm not too upset. My mom asked me out of the two - car and laptop - which i prefer and i said laptop. In all honesty, i just want a small car (new or used, it doesn't matter). Gas prices are leaving a huge dent in my wallet.

My word of advice, if you haven't heard of Josh Groban than go pick yourself up one of his albums!

I love josh groban! He is one of my favorite singers of all time. I was able to catch his performance on ellen. He seems so natural, funny, and down to earth. I just want to hug him. I also think he looks adorable as heck! Watching his performance made me remember how much i miss listening to his music/album. So in the car, i popped in his first cd. His voice is soothing and his lyrics are inspirational. Sometimes, even though i don't understand what he's singing, i feel like i understand it. Isn't that crazy. He performed "awake" on ellen and it was phenomenal. He's a brilliant live performer. I also liked the Jordan Spark's live performance on A.I. It was entertaining and way better than Fantasia. I didn't watch it all, but i found out who won A.I. I was so shocked. I really thought Archuleta had it in the bag. He's so charming and sweet, a lot more approachable than the balding Cook. I guess it doesn't matter because Cook took home the title. I don't care that much because i'm not a big fan, but i was really shocked. He reminds me of the other guy i don't like, Doughtry. I haven't heard Cook sing all that much, but i imagine it to be the same genre as Doughy (whatever, same thing).

When i came home, i found out that we got a warning from the housing association in our neighborhood about our unkempt lawn. If we don't fix it, we'll have to pay a fine. Stupid!

My Mean Side and DWTS Results!

This morning i was productive. I cleaned my room! I am now able to walk through my room without any trouble. That's is bliss. Afterwards, i went and took and shower. I got ready for the day and went to go pick little brother up from school. It was extremely hot. I was sweating profusely and felt icky. I picked up the bf and then we went to little bro's school. Because of the heat, we got out of the car and waited. Since we were hungry afterwards, we stopped by Taste of Asian (yes, again) and got curry and noodles for the little one. I can never get enough of curry! That was when my older sister called me and asked me to go to the store and buy some flour for her. She wants to make cookies from scratch. From then on, my mood went down the drain. When i'm annoyed and aggravated, the world and its inhabitants become an evil place. This irritation came about when i went to target to buy flour. It was supposed to be an in-out sort of deal. The line we stood in was fairly short. Well, there was a reason why! The cashier lady was old and talked too darned much. I got fed up and went and stood in a long line after 15 min of waiting for the old lady. I was pissed! The bf didn't care. He didn't share my upset-ness. How does he keep his cool? After that debacle, everything anyone did made me upset. In short, i was a bitch.

I got upset at the bf for being slow: walking, opening the car, driving, moving. I got upset at my stupid little brother for not listening to me and sleeping in the car. My irritation stayed with me for most of the evening. I wanted to do a vid tut for my friend, but my little sister was being uncooperative. That is, she slept and didn't help me. The room i did the makeup in was hot as heck because there was no a.c. so i was sweating like a pig. I realized that the vid didn't turn out so well, so now i'm going to re-do it. Hopefully, second time is a charm because if it doesn't work out then i'm not doing anymore. The house was a mess and my mom was yelling at me to do stuff. I can not get any peace when i'm at home. My mom told me that i had to "teach" little brother, then wash dishes, sweep, put away food, etc. All of which i barely did. Is it bad that i had a bad day and don't want to do anything? Ugg, i was mean. I hate that about myself. For most of the night i sat on my rump watching television and ate fruit. My dad bought a new batch of strawberries and cherries home. It was delish. I love love cheries. They are arguably my favorite fruit. Ok no more Judy Moody. I lash out on everyone when i'm mean/mad. If i was mean and hurt anyone's feelings, i'm deeply sorry. I love the world and want to feel better about everything.

The results are in! The new champ of DWTS is Kristi and Mark! They did a fabulous job. I can't believe no girl has won is 5 seasons. Now in their 6th season, a girl has reclaimed the title. I was being bored and started to youtube Kristi. I didn't know she used to pair-dance with Rudy Galindo! I think that's how you spell his last name. I remembered watching him ice skate; it was weird. They made a good pair. They seemed to compliment each other very well. She's small so she could easily do those lifts and stuff. The runner-up was Jason & Edyta. They were my second fave couple. Jason is so cute and suave; i loved watching him. Edyta is so pretty too! My only problem with her is her massive overload on fake-baking. She looked as dark as Jason. And last but not least, in third place is Christian and Cheryl. I think Christian was totally doing the whole reverse psychology thing and milking their audience for sympathy votes. I don't care if his arm is broken, his dancing wasn't up to par as the others. He's purely an entertainer. I also watched an episode of Hell's Kitchen. After being hooked on Top Chef, it's hard getting used to Hell's Kitchen. Ramsey is so mean, my kind of man! You have to have tough skin to thrive in a tough business. The annoying Rosann was kicked off. She talked too much and cooked too little. I didn't like her NJ accent either. It reminds of some people that i'm indifferent towards.

All this staying at home business makes me gain weight! I feel bloated and overweight. I think it's because i've been sleeping and eating all day. I need to work on a new routine, fast! Starting up tuesdays and thursdays at 8.30/9 i'm going to wake up and exercise. I miss the elliptical machine! All i have now is the machine where you run in place, a couple of workout tapes, and a resistance ball. I hope i slip into a good routine soon. This flab is eating me alive! I have target areas that i want to concentrate on. My thunder thighs need toning, my flabby arms, my armpit area, and my lower tummy. I have a pooch! I don't want one anymore and must find a way to get rid of it. There are so many things wrong with me right now. I'm breaking out on my forehead and it wont seem to clear up. I don't know what to do about it. Maybe i should start out by not touching it. Next, my hair has been acting up. It's been greasier lately. It might be the shampoo or just the air/season. Summer does many things to a person. I was using suave shampoo, but since i've been home i've started using garnier fructis. Is that good for your scalp? Am i supposed to feel icky after a shower? It also might be because i haven't shaved in ages. My legs re hairy monsters. I think they can be considered a forest. Maybe Narnians can make a home out of my leg hair!

I've always had mixed feelings about Fergie. I think she's a strong woman, very interesting, and a huge trend setter. But she confuses me sometimes. Her face is hideous/manly. She sort of reminds me of a tranny. But when i scroll down and check out her bod, it's like "whoah." She is all woman. Her arms are nicely toned and shaped, her tummy tight and her thighs are amazing. No wonder she can pull of crazy looking clothes and make them look great. Her songs are nice too. They are edgy and very catchy. Sometimes she throws in a little singing to surprise us, like her hit song big girls don't cry. So when she blunders, i kind of shake my head and wonder. For instance, the infamous pee-in-her-pants concert. She was flying into a concert with the Black Eyed Peas and didn't have time to use the bathroom so she ended up peeing on herself. There was clear evidence that she dirtied herself. The stains were very obvious. She blamed it on being hot and humid causing her to sweat profusely in that area. RIGHT...whatever you say. So now, it's the live performance of Barracuda that makes me scratch my head and wear that puzzled simon-face. Her rendition of Barracuda was yuck. She was rolling all on the floor acting like she was sexing the guitar player. How inappropriate. This is a family morning show. I'm surprised they didn't show the audience's faces. I would've liked to see their 6 y-o's reaction to her performance.

Police say a trailer loaded with 14 tons of double-stuffed Oreos has overturned, spilling the cookies still in their plastic sleeves into the median and roadway. "The boxes came out of the trailer and boxes were ripped open," police said. The crash about 50 miles southwest of Chicago remains under investigation. No charges have been filed but both lanes of traffic remain closed while authorities remove the cookies. [read more here] Isn't that a crazy way to stop traffic? I wonder what what happen to all the soiled cookies. That is a huge waste. I'm not a huge oreo eater, but i know some of my friends love those things. The commercials make them appear more appetizing. I'm a total dunker. Although i don't eat oreo cookies, i do eat oreo ice cream! i just had one today. My dad likes to buy those oreo ice cream bars that are shaped in a circle. They resemble a big cookie. It's so delish. I can sit there and eat a whole box. Mind you, a box contains only 4 cookies. How many calories is that? I don't even want to know.

Ironman and Jolly Rancher

Am i the only movie-goer not dully impressed by Ironman? I walked in having high expectations. Rightfully so, because all the critics gave it either an A or a B+. Let's talk about the things i enjoyed about the movie. The cast was superb. Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark was impeccable casting. It was like the role was made specifically for him. I actually believed him in the movie. I don't remember where i've seen Terrence Howard in other movies, but he plays Rhodes in Ironman. I like this kid. He's always a hero to me. It might be because he reminds me of Cuba Gooding Jr. - LOVE! Obadiah was a true villain. Throughout the movie i suspected him. I thought he was evil, conniving and very convincing. The very qualities you want in a villain. Last but not least, the subtle eye candy. I love Gwyneth Paltrow. I used to not like her, but she grows on you as an actress. She seems very charming and down to earth. Though some might call her homely, i see her as a diamond in the ruff. The script was very good. I liked Stark's dry humor and fast wit. It kept me laughing. The visuals were beautifully integrated and very well executed. All my senses were put to good use and for the most part, satisfied. Even smell because that movie theater sure did wreak. Anyways, for some reason all the pros about this movie didn't make the feel-good feeling last. The last fight scene didn't pack enough punch for me. It winded down too fast and his romance was not solidified. I know that there were implications of the couple "finally" together, but i'd like to see something concrete. I'm a sucker for the whole fairytale ending, so that's a crucial aspect for me. All in all, i thought it was well-played out. I don't think it's a movie i'd watch over and over again, but it was well worth the watch. Ironman put up a valiant fight, but Transforms undoubtedly won in the end (for me, at least)

I was about to do nothing today and ended up going out with the bf to watch Ironman. Crazy how things spontaneously happen. When i came home, i started messing around with makeup. I know, why am i so random? Like before, i only did one eye. In the light my acne looks awful. It resembles a rocky terrain suffering from drought. Nasty as heck. I hope it gets better. I don't know what to do about it. Anyways, i think i'm going to make a vid tutorial tomorrow based on this look. I used 4 colors in total. I took pictures in natural lighting, no flash and bathroom lighting, no flash.
Please don't comment about my eyebrows. I haven't groomed them in so long. Ever since i've been home, i've become extremely lazy. Ya'll should see my room. It's a total mess! I'm not sure if i like how this turned out. You can sort of see my contact!
Once again, don't mind the eyebrows and now the bags. I'm aware that i look completely nasty. So for the inner eye and inner lower, i used a gold pigment. For the next 2/3 of the eye, i used a light pink. In this case, i think the light pink is too light. It might be washed out by the other two colors. It might work, i don't know. I'm kind of indifferent at this point. Sometimes it looks good and other times it looks blah. I used hot pink for the outer-v, contour, and lower lid. On the top of the eye, i used a pale-ish, neutral color to highlight and blend. I went for a taupe color with minimum sparklage because i'm modest and don't want to look like a tranny. I tightlined my eye and then went over the top with liner. For the bottom eye, i rimmed my waterline with eyeliner as well. To finish, i curled my lashes and mascary-ed them. Goldy-Pink/Jolly Rancher is what i call this.

My sister made her black bean soup. Surprisingly, it was delish. It had a tex-mex feel. I call it black bean chili because it has the same consistency. During dinner i started watching my shows! In DWTS, Kristi and Mark are back on top with a perfect 60! I only caught the freestyle round, but the dancers are all bringing their A-game. I'm impressed. I hear that Kristi is the favorite! She needs to call upon asians and girls to pull her through. Christian started speaking spanish, saying that Latinos need tot back him up. The finale tomorrow night should be fun to watch. It's a 2-hour session with Usher as the guest performer. Then, i sat down and watched House. I haven't seen any of this season, so of course the only one i catch is the season finale. Although i don't have any connection towards the characters, i genuinely felt sad. It was a very heartfelt season finale. Throughout the episode, my sisters and i were asking each other what happened. Like any of us knew, it was a laugh. So house's best friend wilson's lover died. Apparently, house was drunk at a bar and called wilson to pick him up. Wilson was busy, so amber went and got him. House piled onto a bus and she followed suit. She was taking medicine for her flu and that was when the bus crashed. House went had a concussion/coma and then had a heart attack. Now, he can't sleep well and has a loss of memory. Because of the bus crash, Amber had liver failure which caused her flu medicine to seep into her body causing an overdose. She died because of it. Poor house is sad that his best friend hates him. To top it off, the other girl doctor with blonde hair learned she has huntington's disease. The whole episode was sad.

Since my baby cousin's b-day was yesterday, i have tons of leftovers today. It was a fun event. I never realized my height/size until i'm actually asked. My aunt asked me how tall i was. She made a guess of 5'8. I kind of gaped and said, minus 6 inches! She was shocked as well, saying that i was so short. Everyone in my family thinks i'm tall/model height because i have long legs. It's the illusion. I have heels and long arms. I saw this girl there, my uncle's friend's daughter, that looked 18! She was only 15! She was tall, slender, and in my opinion, pretty. I was shocked when she said she was only a freshman in hs. For some reason, i felt that she was fake. I didn't like her voice or the way she spoke. I am so critical...and mean.

The tourism ministry on Monday named Hello Kitty as its choice to represent the country in China and Hong Kong, two places where she is wildly popular among kids and young women. Officials hope that tapping into that fan base will lead to a bigger flow of tourists into Japan, and closer toward their goal of attracting 10 million overseas visitors every year under the "Visit Japan" campaign. [read more here] Although it sounds silly, i think it's a smart idea. What better way to attract tourists than a big, pink, hello kitty? I, for one, really love the idea. What is japan? Japan is cute, friendly, and loving. You get all of that in a hello kitty. I don't know how serious people will take HK, but it's worth a try. Apparently, tourism is japan has become popular. Why not take the chance and go for the sky! Although i think the idea is brilliant, i think a HK needs a mouth. I saw her show and always thought it was weird how she could talk but didn't have a mouth. How does that work? That's me becoming over analytical about things. Sometimes i sound like my sisters.

Another day at work.

Prince Caspian is coming! I'm so excited. I've waited so long for the second installment! Hopefully, i get to spend some time with the bf tomorrow too. We can watch Narnia! I went to work today to help my mom out. I left the house at noon-ish, but that was when she sent my sister and i on errands. We went to the bank and then went to the mall to fix my moms watch. It's been a long time since i got, "You Vietnamese?" I nodded to the guy fixing my mom's watch and went on with my business. After the watch was fixed, we went to Ross. We go there for, what else, but shoes! Sis bought really cute ivory pumps and silver gladiators. Mine are rosy pink sandals. I bought them for 5 dollars, so i can't really complain. I still want silver sandals! I don't know where to buy them. Anyways, we picked up my little brother at his school and ended up eating at Samwon Garden for some korean food. We got two dishes and shared amongst the three of us. It was pricey, but so yummy. The korean people thought we were korean! Isn't that nice. It was an overall pleasant day. When is it not a pleasant day?

What do i want to do/accomplish during the summer? I thought about paint balling, but i don't want to subject myself to excruciating pain. I can't tolerate bruising/skin damage. I want to eat more sushi with the bf and go swimming. Maybe i can get my tan on! I nice healthy glow beats my white butt any day. I was at work today and was eaten alive by this tiny mosquito. I think i have three bites in all. I tried killing it, but those bloodsuckers are fast as lightening! I hate bugs. I guess i don't have anything i really want to do. My goals are low. I know that when i head up to UT for my masters, i'm going to take some salsa lessons! I'm going to drag the little one to go with me too. It should be fun. I don't know how well i'll be, but theres no harm in trying. Salsa-ing is way to fun to pass up, especially if you're a girl. I love love Copa! If you're in the Austin area, that is the place to be. It's the only place i feel safe asking a guy to dance. Isn't that silly. I passed by a starbucks and saw this yummy mint choco frap. I was really interested until i remembered my tummy aches and walked past it without looking in. That is improvement!

I have too much time on my hands! Watch this, i am intrigued!

Online Dance Competition! ACDC vs. M&M - very cutesy idol. I don't know why it's the rave, but youtubers are challenging youtubers. ACDC did an amazing job! I'm so impressed. I also like that Flo-rida song. It's darned catchy. Isn't FLo-rida a weird way of saying Florida? I bet it's a tribute to Florida. Is that his home state?

M&M come back with 4 min by Madonna and JT. It was kind of cool.

I was youtubing and stumbled across the M&M and was watching a few of their vids. They are so obnoxious. I can't stand people yelling at me while they are on cam. Does that make sense? I never liked her Show on the disney channel either. For some reason, i like the cheesiness of Hilary Duff. Isn't that sad? I can't believe i admitted that. At least i can honestly say i wasn't a Britney Spears fan. That girl can't sing. Even i know i sing better than her. Hmm. Is that saying much? My opinions of ANTM have changed! Whitney (the newest winner) was a already a model, but the real catch is she was modeling size 2/4. Apparently, she was approached by ANTM producers and given a deal. She had to gain weight and enter as a plus-size model. If she agreed, they would guarantee her a position in the top 3. Isn't that messed up!

How is lingerie environmentally friendly? Well, the Japanese are at it again. Lingerie maker "Triumph International Japan Ltd." unveiled its environmentally friendly, and green colored, "Solar Power Bra" on Wednesday in Tokyo which features a solar panel worn around the stomach. It hasn't been released in stores yet because people haven't been able to wear it out in public underneath their clothes. But it does send the message of how lingerie could possibly save the planet, Masuda said, adding that the bra should not be washed or sunned on a rainy day to avoid damaging it. [read more here] I don't exactly know how this eco-friendly, but it's kind of neat. You actually feel like you're treating the world nice. Too bad it's not fashion friendly.

TV filled day

ANTM results; what a disaster! I hate it when the girl i root for doesn't win. What the heck. I don't know why Whitney won. Granted, she is pretty but yuck! I'm glad that a plus size "model" won, but i don't think she deserved the title. Anya was "peoples" choice for the longest time. Sigh. I do not concur with the results! I didn't even watch this season all that much. I think i watched two episodes in all, including the finale. I can't say that i'm a big fan. The only reason i watched it is because i don't have bravo with me! I can't watch all of my fave shows. I need to learn to adjust. I also watched a little bit of AI. Oh my goodness! Fantasia = joke! That was a disaster of a performance. It was a lot of screaming, hip action, and head bopping. When the camera zoomed past Simon's face, the expression he had was HILARIOUS. It was the sort of face that screamed, "What the hell are you doing? Seizure maybe?" My goodness. Since i haven't followed AI, i don't really care what happens. I just heard the final two are Archuleta and David Cook. Which reminds me, yesterday i was watching Beauty and the Geek. The beauty was given questions about how well they know their geek. The question was, "if your geek could describe his personality as George Clooney, Dane Cook, and Einstein, who would he choose?" The beauty said, she didn't think her geek would choose Clooney or Einstein, but she didn't know who DAN Cook was, so she chose DAN Cook. The idiot got the name wrong, but at least her geek choose the same answer. What a loser. I'm kind of confused. Are people really that air heady?

Today was a pleasant day. I stayed up till 3.30 reading The Host, which i finished. It was fantab. I was so hooked i couldn't fall asleep! I'm glad the ending was happy; it left me with a feel-good feeling. I love that afterglow! Anyways, now that i don't have a book, i don't know what to do with myself. I woke up around 10 and then my mom called me to go to her workplace to help out. When i get there, nothings going on. Why does she call me in the first place? I think she wants to compare her children with her sister's children. So my mom's sister has really diligent, hardworking children. They were at the workplace since 7 and have been working all day. They are about the same age as my sister and i. I think my mom tried to one-up her by bringing us out, but it didn't really work. We kind of lazed around. I worked when i was needed, but other than that, i'm kind of a lost cause. I'm so lazy. I think i deserve a break though. My mom asked me why i was so sleepy and i couldn't respond with an adequate answer. I slept most of my day away. Hopefully, i don't have to do anything strenuous tomorrow. My mom already told me to go with her to my little bro's school; it's his birthday tomorrow. She bought a cookie cake and wanted me to join in on the festivities. That would be nice.

I was told about the family vacae in a little bit more detail today. It sounds so much fun. I haven't been on one with them in so long, i sort of forgot how it feels to be with family outside the home environment. I think it's a much needed break. We are to leave saturday to CA and then stay till sunday. On monday, we leave CA on a cruise that is headed to MX. We stay on the cruise for 4 nights 5 days. I think we are headed to Catalina. When we dock, we head back to CA spend 1 or 2 more days there and then leave for TX. It sounds fun, yea? You know i'm going to come back with tons and tons of pictures. I'm hoping i have my laptop by then. I'm quite unsure. It's so hard. I don't know which one to choose. I just know i don't want a dell. I hate dells! I also know i want a built in webcam so i can camwhore easily! (haha) I don't know. I want a pink one, but i've thought about it. My friends said that if i'm in the professional world, it might look weird. It's practical here, while i'm a college student, but i should look and feel more professional when i'm set free. It makes sense. Speaking of friends, i miss my friends dearly! Sometimes i wish i could walk down the hallway and just knock on my friend's door. I really miss that. I miss the impromptu talks that we had. Now, i won't see some of them until a year passes. That's so sad. Oh, well.

My brother is insanely annoying. I hate the fact that when i'm home, i have to take care of him. That's wrong of me to say. Let me reprase that. When i'm home, i have to take on the parent/big sister/dictator/disciplinary role in the house when it comes to my little brother. I ask him to do something and he won't. Then, i yell at him to do it and he won't. What motivates him is when i start grabbing a stick and threatening him. What the heck. Is it supposed to be this hard? Are boys that frustrating. Wat i ever that stupid/lazy when i was his age? Probably, but it gets harder to tolerate when i get older. My patience meter is running low. On top of this mess, my mom can't find my shot records and she's blaming it on me. I don't have them and i don't know where they would be. She's getting irritating, which makes me very irritated. Gosh! Sigh, i found out who left on Dancing with the Stars. I expected Marissa to leave and she did. Her performance was only sub-par. Whatever, i wasn't a big fan of hers anyways. All i know is that i want Kristi and Mark to win! Woohoo.

So first it's a man having a baby. Now it's seal-penguin sex. That is, a seal has been caught on camera trying to have sex with a penguin. his seems to be the first known example of a sexual escapade between a mammal and another kind of vertebrate such as a bird, reptile or fish, "although some mammals are known to have attempted sexual relief with inanimate - including dead things - objects," said researcher Nico de Bruyn, a mammal ecologist in South Africa. One summer morning, scientists observing elephant seals on a beach on Marion Island near the Antarctic spotted a young male seal subduing a king penguin. At first scientists thought the seal was hunting the penguin, but the actions spoke otherwise. [read more here] Isn't that crazy! I shouldn't be surprised since beastiality occurs. Anyways, i thought that was interesting and wanted to share.
