Stinky Cows!
I used to really like cows. I thought they were really cute, neat-o, and overall gentle creatures. That was until i became lactose intolerant and started studying/observing them. Even though i'm lactose intolerant, i still find time to eat ice cream! Thank goodness for ice cream. The only problem is that i can only eat small portions, so i tend to eat sorbet or something. Anyways, back to cows. In reality, they are ugly and really smelly. We went to this field where tons of cow graze. Amazingly enough, the field is right on campus.
It was freezing outside and we were there because of a class. Such torture! They usually grazed, but there was the occasional nudge and tail flicker. I think the most exciting thing i've seen was the bull defecating. Poo is really gross and it smells. It was so hard to walk in the field because you don't know where or what you were stepping in. I think the cows were starting to warm up to us until they started running away and moo-ing nonstop. Then we had to run after them. That wasn't lovely. Trying to be inconspicuous around a bunch of cows is really hard. I guess they don't like observers. It's really cold outside and my body definitely reacted. My nose is dripping nonstop and my hands were really white and dry. It was snowing in the DFW area, i kind of wish it snowed. If it snowed, there might be a possibility that classes cancel. Actually, i don't have class today so it wouldn't matter at all.
I ran into the door. It hit my eye and i was blinded for awhile. My foot was right in front of the door and it came swinging back as i walked forward. That's not very smart of me and my reaction is very delayed, so the outcome wasn't so lovely. The bf told me that we're not going to the concert. What a bummer. I really wanted to go, too. I should've known, things like this always happen to me. It's ok, right now i'm lemming for A Fine Frenzy tickets in Austin. I guess i should've looked earlier because it looks like it's not going to happen either. I really want to do something this Spring Break. My sister is going to San Antonio for Sea World and a wedding. I really want to go to the beach.
I really want to just lay on the sand and soak up the sun. That sounds really nice, along with exfoliating. I love sand! The only problem is that i don't like stupid drunkards on a nice beach. That's really hard to avoid when it's Spring Break. Yuck.
Across the Universe has been on the SU channel for awhile. I caught glimpses, mostly the ending. That's the important part, right? I think it's a good ending. The brother didn't die and the couples ended up together. A big happy family reunion. I want to watch the movie, Penelope. It looks like such a fairytale. A girl, Christina Ricci, is cursed with a pig nose and the only way to reverse the curse is to find her one true love and kiss him. Isn't that sweet! Very predictable, but that is such a cute premise.
I remember when Christina Ricci played that little girl in The Adam's Family movie. She was the dark girl in pigtails that never smiled. I can't remember any other movies she's been in, but i remember liking that movie. The other girl in Penelope is the darling, Reese Witherspoon. She's too cute and her square face and prominent jaw line works for her. The main guy, James McAvoy is also a personal fave. He's Mr. Tumnus! I love that little faun. I love Narnia! I think he's so adorable. He definitely captured my heart in Narnia. For awhile, i wanted a loyal faun friend. Oh, the magic that is Narnia!
A man got stuck in a well 15 ft beneath his kitchen because he was trying to save his dog. The blind, deaf, 14- y.o collie accidentally walked into a well. Lucky for him, the fire department came and rescued both pet and owner. [read more here] It's amazing to see the strong relationship between man and animal. It's a very powerful thing. I've always watched movies and read books about things but i don't know if i've ever witnessed it. I love my dogs, but is it a strong enough bond? Maybe i should get a collie and test this out. The thing is I don't like collies.
I think they have long noses. Actually, the dog doesn't look so bad. I'm just biased and like my dog better.
