Sushi and FOBs
Today was nice. It was another subway sandwich day. Then, we watched t.v and scrabbled. MTV was showcasing an ANTM marathon. I forgot the season, but it's the one where Jaslene wins. When you put so many girls into one house, they get a little crazy. My personal fave was this blonde girl (forgot her name), but she "spreads joy to the world." That's me!
I came home, cleaned house, and then we decided to get some sushi for dinner. The bf surprised me with a fantabulous bouquet of red roses. I love flowers! We then went to Piranha Killer Sushi. It was a quaint little place that serves some pretty good sushi. Unfortunately, sushi isn't for everyone. I read that Kate Beckinsale would rather eat vagina than sushi. This is what she had to say: "I have to say, sushi freaks me out more than almost anything. At least a vagina would be warm." [read more here] I have to say, that is disgusting! Sushi isn't all that bad. I think her perception of it is totally skewed because not everything is raw. Vagina is nasty. Who cares if it's warm? Sushi can be warm? She used to be so cool, now she's a weirdo in my eyes!
At the sushi place, we got dessert! After 3 rolls i thought i was full, but i wanted something sweet. The rolls were pretty good and very nice looking. But the dessert was cool. I want to try this out because it looks so simple. Basically, you get rice paper and wrap a banana with it. Then you fry it! I guess you can just fry the banana itself, but wrapping rice paper around it makes it seem more exotic. When it's fried, eat it with ice cream. So simple!
After sushi was Asian Olympics, held by UTA. People who can't dance shouldn't dance. The same rule applies to singers. Those who can't sing, shouldn't sing. Well, not in a public place where scrutiny is allowed. Anyways, there were three dance teams. Two of them weren't that great. I need to learn to talk softer because i seem to comment about everything really loudly. It's like me watching a movie. I talk nonstop about everything. That reminds me The Gilmore Girls. I kinda liked the momma-daughter duo team because they were awkward, yet cool. They did the whole commentary thing during movies. I guess that's why i liked the show because i could relate to their random weird moments. AO is basically a sports gathering of asian associations from different universities. They compete for the title of...winner? The trophies look HUGE, so i guess they are competing for that and brag rights. There were so many asians today i could barely breathe. I guess you can say i have a fob-phobia? asian-phobia? It was just a bit too much. I'm always surrounded by non-asians so this took me by surprise. I was still cool as an ice cube. I just don't understand the need for girls to dress like a gangster and walk as if they got something stuck in their shoe. On top of that, asian girls are very judgmental. When i pass by a lot of girls with dyed hair and heavy makeup, their gaze is locked on me. What the heck? Can they be anymore obvious? So what if i look white and more put together? I'm king cong chua! The only thing good about being around asians is that i feel kind of tall. I'm like...Godzilla.
It was an overall pleasant, happy day. When school starts back up, i imagine it's going to be major cram time. I think i'm ready though. This break was much needed.
