Cancel Class More Often!

My class canceled today! I was so excited. This is my long class, the one i dread going to all the time. I thought i would use this time to go home and study for my test, but i decided to do a little calligraphy. Initially i wanted to listen to music while i drew, but then i remember i have a movie i haven't seen yet. It's due in a week, so i popped that in. I didn't think it through. I have to concentrate on drawing, so i couldn't watch a subbed movie. The movie i have is called Paris, Je T'aime. It sounds like a really cute, romantic comedy. Instead of watching that movie, i decided to watch my beloved series, Hoan Chau Cat Cat. It's so fitting to what i was doing. I saw them do calligraphy and poems myself! I felt so in the mood. I'm still watching it as i'm writing up this post. It must really suck living back then. It's all horse riding and carriages (I guess it's not so bad if you're royalty). I like the clothes though, it's so fab. The headdress is a little bit much, but it's kind of neat. I love the bright colors and the weird shoes. This series makes me laugh like a chicken. It's kind of annoying.I remember watching this when it first came out. I love love it. This is a definate must see if you are vietnamese, well asian. I specifically say vietnamese because i have a viet subbed one. I miss talking in vietnamese.

I have a small headache. I think the ink is the caused my headache because i was inhaling a lot of while i was calligraphy-ing. The most annoying thing to happen when you have a headache is encountering annoying people. If the prof tells you to do something, shut up and just do it. Don't be a smart-butt about things. Just because you are having an awful day does not mean you have to spread the gloom and doom everywhere you go. Overall the day was uneventful. I noticed that i'm not a cheerful person in situations that i have to be cheerful. At a meeting, we had to sing. I can sing well when i want to, not in places where i have to. I can't clap on time and on top of that, i have to act like i care and sing a stupid song i don't want to sing. It's awful. The only fun i had out of the whole darned thing was my friend making smart-butt comments. I aso got a free pack of 5 gum! I found it lying on the table and decided to take it for my own! Finders keepers, losers weepers! I don't get why 5 gum is fab? It's like any other gum, just overpriced.

I'm mildly upset with the decisions SU is making. Last year they hired this company called, white whale to revamp and make over our website. A year later and the outcome is hideous! What the hell, is what i'm thinking. We paid big bucks for these guys to comes and screw over our front page? This is what it used to look like and this is what it will look like. SU paid major bucks for a makeover and we get this. Awful. I don't pay lots of money to go to this school and get poorly misrepresented on the net as an artsy, fartsy, party-hardy kind of school. When people look at a school's website, it is supposed to be a visual representation of what the school is. We aren't artsy, fartsy and we aren't party-hardy. We are a textbook dense, critical thinking, academic institution. They got the colors of the school all wrong and it's just too darned busy. Our school logo is no where in sight and they left out the word University. I'm not much on school pride, but i don't want people getting the impression that SU is like another Texas State. I even compared our website to other schools and ours is very cheap-o looking. That is embarrassing. It's definitely not looking good. I know they are trying to target the hip and mod crowd, but it' just so darned tacky. Would you really consider this school if you were a jr. or a sr.? I doubt it. It looks like a joke. Hopefully they do some major modifications before anything is final.

So you know the term, frenmies? When you're friends and enemies at the same time? I'm trying to leeway into my next bit, but i don't think it's going to work. So today in Australia, a dog rescued an orphaned joey (baby kangaroo). The owner of the dog (Rex) were out walking on Sunday and they came across a a dead kangaroo that was killed by a car. Afterwards, Rex started pointing and came back with a joey. He gentrly dropped the 4 1/2 month old joey at the the owner's feet. "The joey was snuggling up to him, jumping up to him and Rex was sniffing and licking him -- it was quite cute," she said. The joey is named Rex Jr. in honor of Rex. He is now 18 months old and almost ready for the wild. [read more here] Isn't that too darling! I love it when i read those little news clippings about unusual rescues.

Cute picture of the day.

That's how we do...
