Movies

I'm torn. I really want to do a semester in NY my last year at SU, but i also want to stay. I don't want to leave friends and people i love. It's my last year at SU gosh darn it. I can easily opt to do a summer internship, but it sucks as heck. Summer means 3 credits verses 16 credits for a sem internship. I don't understand why they do that. It's just upsetting. I really want to experience my senior year at SU, but i also want/need to experience NY for myself. What should i do?

You know how there are lists of movies that you want to watch, but always forget about? I'm adding this one to the list.
The Orphanage is a foreign horror/drama flick. [read more here] It sounds really good. I'm not one for major drama, but this sounds like an exception. I don't know how reliable Rotten Tomato is, but it got pretty good rating. On the tomatometer, it's at 85% fresh. Out of 123 reviews, 104 critics thought that this was fresh material. The overal rating was 7.05/10. I think that's pretty good considering it's above average. Average, i think, is around 5. This was produced by Guillermo delToro. If you don't know who he is, you should check out Pan's Labyrinth. He's the mastermind behind that creation. I'm waiting for it to come out on dvd. The thing is, it was released world wide on Jan 11, '08. Shouldn't it be out already?

Tonight we went out to eat at Al Capones. The service was awful and i think he overcharged us for something, i can't tell. I just didn't understand what he did. Afterwards we rented a movie at blockbusters. I signed up for membership, but i don't think she gave me a card? I don't know. We got monsoon wedding and paris, je t'aime. Monsoon wedding was really good. I recommend it for everyone. They are both foreign/romantic comedy, i believe.
I really liked it. It was half in english and half in some indian dialect. I liked how everything resolved itself. The actors were nice to look at too. I don't see that many handsome indian men around here?
