Sunday's PostSecret

Daddy thinks the clubman is ugly. The bf thinks the clubman is ugly, too. Geez. I can never catch a break. Maybe i should just convince them to get me the regular mini cooper. I don't know anymore. I'm looking at the stuff that i have to do today and i'm hoping i can finish at least half of it. Tomorrow i have housing sign-ups (8.30) and class sign-ups (10). I just finished a paper, so now i'm chilling a bit and visiting some of favorite websites. In particular, i read postsecret every sunday (or at least try to). Today, there was one postcard that i just went "aww" to. That lady is 50 years old and has never been kissed. At first, i automatically thought about the film "never Been Kissed" with Drew Barrymore. Then, i felt really bad for her and wish her the best with her marriage. I showed this to the bf and he said, "it's not that sad...if it's true then i guess it's sad." Postsecret is real. It's an outlet for some people. You basically send your secrets to Frank and he posts it on the site. I wanted to do it, but i don't really have a secret or anything to write about. The bf asked why i would do such a thing. I thought about it and here is what i came up with. It's more of a reassurance. You aren't the only one out there in the world with a secret or an insecurity. More importantly, you aren't alone. Solidarity is very important to survival.

If you are a crazy shoe lover like me, here's a neat little site to look at. Atypical shoes is a site based on, weird looking, neat, crazy, shoes. The only guideline at the site is that the shoes are quirky. I really like at all the different types that people have come up with, past and present. Sometimes i'm confused and think, "how the heck did someone in their right mind come up with this?" You will understand if you take a peek at the site. Yesterday my mom commented on how tight my stomach looks. At least she can see my efforts. I've been lazy, but i've kept up with my regimen. I think the best way to see results is to be consistent. On top of exercising in the morning, i think i might add in-room exercises. I'm going to borrow a couple of dvds from my friend and see how it works. Maybe i can open up a youtube on exercising! Haha. I don't think that will ever happen.

I'm eating grapes right now because i only had a bagel for dinner. No exercising for today! I was watching a segment of Hoan Chau Cat Cat. I was up to this part where this high society girl was letting fate find her a match for marriage. Her dad threw a ball over the balcony and whoever catches it would marry the daughter. I don't think i would ever have the guts to do that. It sort of reminds me of the whole arranged marriage thing. Except in this case, it's really up to god to decide who marry. In the series, the ball lands on this poor kid asking for alms. At least with your parents deciding, they do a thorough background check. You can confidently marry the person knowing that they don't have a record. It would be way crazy if something like a marriage ball toss happen here.

On to news, a woman protected her pet Labrador by biting a put bull terrier on the nose. She first tried to pull the pit bull's jaws away from her lab's throat. Since that didn't work, she ended up biting it on the nose. This is what she had to say: "I broke the skin and had pit bull blood in my mouth. I knew what happened, and I knew that it wasn't good." The injury was concluded as minor, but now she's faced with possible rabies. [source] Some people would do anything for their dogs. I'm very impressed when these type of stories come out. I hope all things turn out ok. While my mom was here, she had good things to say about my dog at home (Chico). She said that he was very disciplined. He knows where to poo and when it's dinner time, he would push his tray to the door, waiting patiently for us to come out. He's just very excited when people are around, so he kind of mulls them. I told my mom that he's a good dog because daddy is mean to him. Since he's scared of my dad, he'll try his best to not do wrong.

Cute picture of the day.

Wal-mart worries.
