Bathing Suits
I'm eating banh bot loc right now. It's so yummyy. I don't know how to explain what it is, but i will try to. There is marinated meat/shrimp inside and around it is this white, translucent batter? The whole thing is wrapped in banana leaves, so it smells really good. You dip it with sweet fish sauce. It's so good. It's one of my favorite things to eat. I also like banh beo, too. I don't know, it's all muy bueno. Maybe the bf's music is rubbing off on me, but I really like one of JT's songs. Well, the count is two now. The first one i liked of his is called Losing My Way and now i like the What Goes Around Comes Around Song. Hmm, maybe i need to broaden my music hemisphere. The bf said everything i listen to sounds the same. In a way, they do, but i like it. It's my signature. It's nice to be able to listen to a song and say, "judy would like that" or "it's so judy." Before going to work, i decided to take a quick nap. I don't know why i adore naps so much, but i'm glad i took one. It was a quick, short 40 min nap, but it did a world of wonder. The only thing that kind of bugged me was that durign the nap, a group of girls and one guy (that i dislike) ran down the hall to knock on this girl's door. Wow. Is it really necessary for you to make a raucous? It woke me up because it was a stampede of laughter, giggles, and loud voices. After they left, i was able to get some shut eye. I'm beginning to question if i'm going to cow observe today. I know i should, but a big part of me is just too lazy. I have a lto of time left, so it's not that bad. I looked over the requirements and i only have to get in about 1.5 hours of observations. It's not bad, but rather very manageable. Needless to say, i'm not worried yet.
Summer's almost here and i'm being a bum at work. I'm taking a minor break and will start up again after i post a couple pics of my recent finds. For some reason, i went to urbanoutfitters to look at what they have. I'm now browsing their 2008 swimsuit collection.
This is the Insight's Panda Bum Bikini ($88). Isn't it just too darned cute. I like the black and white stripes. The panda face is just the cutest little surprise. You wouldn't think that there would be something like that in the back, but there is! I want to find a cheaper version of this suit because i'm definitely not spitting out $88 for that. Maybe i can make one!
Next up is Betsey Johnson 's Parasol Cheeky Bottom ($68). Isn't this darling. I'm kind of unsure about wearing this though. The other one seems more likely, but it sure is nice to look at. It's so pretty i don' think i would want to get it wet and that totally defeats the purpose of swim wear. It kind of looks like a really riskay halloween costume. Maybe attach a little cotton bunny tail in the back and turn it into a black and white bunny costume. That is so not me either.
This one isn't found on urbanoutfitters, but some random site that i googled. It's Saha ($120) and the description reads: Reversible Bandeau (Brown-Pink), wearable in 7 different ways. Bottom has fold over waistband (Optional Ribbon to tie in the waistband). Provides moderate coverage in the rear. It looks cute, but realistically this isn't me. I like the color and the idea of the suit. The bow is a nice accent, but i can't wear a strapless. I don't have boobs! How are you supposed to swim in that? I'm pretty sure that if you actually go into the water, it'll just slip off. No one wants to see mosquito bites! I want something cute and a little more practical. I don't know what will look goo don me since i have a weird figure. Sigh. I kind of like the VS swim wear, but the models look better wearing it...i'm sure. I think i'll have to postpone the search and pick it up at a later date. What kind of upsets me right now, is that i ordered makeup samples from the she space and they haven't arrived. Gosh darned. I ordered it last week and they just got around to sending it today. Is it always this slow? I guess that's what i get for online shopping. I've never been a big online shopper, but the ease is making it hard for me to dislike. I don't like the hassle of being in a busy place or have people hover over me, expecting me to buy things. What i don't like is not being able to try things on and touch them. It makes it a lot harder. You have to be sure of what you like and it's hard because sometimes they aren't true to life. Colors might not be the same and the size might be different. On top of that, i hate waiting. I hate waiting for packages to come...but when they do come, i love love it! I love getting things in the mail. See how torn i am?
I found a new artist! He's amazing. His name is Banksy.
Banksy (1974 -- ) is a graffiti artist from Bristol, UK, whose artwork has appeared throughout London and other locations around the world. Despite this he carefully manages to keep his real name from the mainstream media. However, many newspapers assert that his real name is Robert or Robin Banks. Banksy, despite not calling himself an artist, has been considered by some as talented in that respect; he uses his original street art form, often in combination with a distinctive stencilling technique, to promote alternative aspects of politics from those promoted by the mainstream media. That was one of his projects. He drew nine images on a wall ( Segregation Wall Palestine) that cages in 100,000 residents. His artwork is really appealing and inspring [read more here]. I don't remember where i came across Banksy, but i remembered i was intriuged. I was (and still am) very fascinated with his work and what he chooses to do for a living. I hope he gains the recognition he deserves.
You just read about the cool new artist tagging stuff in Palestine, now meet the smallest girl in the world. This little teenage Indian girl is 1ft 11in tall and only weighs 11lb.
Her name is Jyoti. She is inflicted with a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia. She will not grow anymore than her current height. Because she is so small, she has specific clothes and everyday tools made exclusively for her. She lives a normal life, attending school, sitting in her own miniature version of a desk and chair. Rather than seeing her size as a handicap, she sees it as a blessing. Jyoti is ambitious and hopes to work as a Bollywood actress one day. She adores the attention she gets for being small and wouldn't have it any other way. [read more here]. I can't believe she is so short! I was so surprised when i saw a picture of her. The backpack she wears looks like the size of her! Amazingly, she only weighs 11lb. That's like ollie's weight! I'm glad that she's proud of who she is. For a little person, she sure does dream big. I hope she doesn't have any health complications due to her small stature. Like Jackie Chan says, you are not handicap, you are handicapable! Ahh, such wise words. Jack Chan didn't actually say that. It was Uncle from the Jack Chan Adventures series. It was the episode where Jackie had his senses removed. That was a good episode.
Ok, i'm not really putting this up because of the girl, but she sure is cute too. She's actually holding...a cellphone! You would've never guessed! This was introduced in Japan awhile back. Maybe this novelty idea might hit the states? Naw, i doubt it. If it was a cuter, unisex image, it might make it big here. I don't see guys jumping on the bandwagon with this trend though.

Cute picture of the day.
