Ike and Art

Is anyone appropriately worried about Ike? There are so many evacuees on campus. Right now i'm watching the office. It's a good way to wait Ike out. Instead of watching tv, i should be watching the news since every station is tracking ike. Something like this happened to me before. When i was in...6th grade, my city was on tornado watch. Instead of watchig the news, we were all watching somethign frivolous on tv. When the tornado hit our house, we had no idea what was going on. For awhile, i just thought the winds were really strong. I didn't piece it together until my older sister said, "we're in a tornado, idiot." Oh, who knew you had to precisely put a name to every experience.

Yesterday night, i couldn't sleep until 2 because rambunctious kids were making a loud roucous outside. There was laughing, drunkeness, music and havoc. I hated it but didn't want to do anythign about it. I don't want to be classified as the crazy/old lady/big hater on campus.

Mysterious mosquito bites keep appearing on my skin. I can't figure out where they are. I think i have 4 bites on my leg and one on my arm. I read somewhere that if you put fabric softener in your pocket, it will shield you from mosquitoes. Is that right?

I made a coaster! Ok, way too much credit. I actually just painted the darn thing. Painting is so much fun! I'm unsure about my efforts. I kind of think it looked better without the glaze thing. Maybe next time i'll paint a cuppy or something. My friend and i go regularly now, so it's kind of fun. Her coaster looks cute. She painted a little flower that i traced out for her because she is artistically challenged.

My conclusion: I'm not married to news. Heck, most of the time i'm watching Bravo. I'm now looking at magazine internships, in addition to the today show. Who knows what i'll do. All i know is that i'm not coniving enough to be apart of a really cut throat industry. Maybe i should just be coniving.
