Peace and Quiet
I had lunch with friends at the cutest little bistro on the square. It had a great southern charm to it. If you are in the area, go to Down the Alley Bistro. I had this yummy pesto pizza. It reminded me of the kind my older sister makes. Yum. While i was there, i cracked a joke that made my friend spit her water in my face. Whats up with people spitting on me unintentionally. My friend came over to watch Greek with us. It's such a funny show! I'm not semi-addicted. Every time my friend laughed, if felt like it was raining. Oh geez. At least his breath didn't stink.
During dinner, i saw this lonely girl sitting by herself. Since she's asian and i'm asain, i walked up to her and befriended her. By the time my friends and i finished eating...we decided to part ways with the newcomer. The only problem was that i think i creeped her out. She said i was too friendly. FAIL. When she could leave, she zipped out without looking back. Sigh. The challenges of meeting new people. I have to tone myself down. I get too excited...too happy.
What i learned? Sometimes silence really is golden.
