Cali So Far...
Quick post. So far, being in CA, it's been relaxing. I'm staying with my uncle, so it's quite homey. I've been sleeping most of the time. Sigh.
Yesterday, we were delayed 1.5 hours. It sucked balls. I tried reading my book, but it made me sleepy after awhile. The one thing i liked about leaving at 2 is arriving at 2 eastern time. It feels like you lost no time at all. On the plane, they were showing Penelope. That movie is so darned cute. I was never a big fan of Christina Ricci, but she was so darling in this movie. On top of that, her clothes were droolable. It's a typical frivolous, feel-good movie. If you want to feel charmed, watch this. Duringthe movie, there was a stupid big woman sitting in front of me with big hair blocking my view of the telly. Goodness, i wanted to hit her. I had a mini-flashback of "good times" on the plane. When i was little, my older sister and i would play this sneaky game. We were really young and it was our first trip to VN. We would wait for the people in front of us to fall asleep and then reach our hand through their armrest to push the passenger assistance button. When the button was lit, we retracted our hand and waited for the old man to be awaken by the flight lady (What do you call that person? The word eludes me right now.). It was great fun because after awhile, the man would look all confused and puzzled. We only did that a couple of time. We don't do it anymore, though. That's good.
I spent most of my day yesterday watching cable and sleeping. Today i woke early at 7 to get ready for church at 8.30 am. That's so darned early. I slept pretty well. I shared a bed with little sister and brother. Sometime during the night i got kicked, but it's alright. It's better than sleeping in a room with my dad. He snores horribly loud. The funny thing is that he doesn't believe that he snores. Sigh. After church, we grabbed brunch and ran around doing stuff. We were able to stop by my favorite bakery so that i could get my favorite chocolate mousse. It's so delish. When we got back, my mom took off with her friend to go shopping. The kids ended up staying home and taking a nap. For some reason, we were all beat.
The one thing i LOVE about CA is the weather. It's brilliant. The sun may be up, but the wind is cool and refreshing. They don't even use a.c over here! Can you imagine that? I took a nap in the nice breezy air. I do have complaints, though. For some reason, i don't like the birds greeting me int he morning. They chirp nonstop. Don't they sleep? I also don't like the smell. It smells really bad here in some places. It's a mixed smell of sewage and skunk. Isn't that weird? I would've expected something more...mountainy. I guess not. There's a wedding i'm going to today. I hope the food is good.
Tomorrow, i should be on the cruise. Hopefully, i'll have internet access.
