Procrastination at Its Best

This weekend is going to border hell. I have two major tests and a paper due all on monday. Quite a coincidence. Instead of being productive, i've decided to take a mini-break and blog. This means i'm going to procrastinate a little until lunch or after my other classes today. sigh. The little bunny cartoon is darling. If tests were all multiple choice i think i wouldn't worry so much because the answer is right in front of you. Its just a matter of picking the right one. I think all of my tests are in essay form. I'm cringing just thinking about it.

I've decided to name the little bear i got yesterday Benji, short for Benjamin. I really like the name Benjamin...its smart. So, now i have Ben and Terry (lol) to look after. I'm now a mother of two. I don't know if i'll ever grow out of this phase. I think i love teddy bears too much.

I was browsing through google and came across this really cool site. This person makes unusual and cute, handmade soap. It looks like real dentures, right. I thought the same thing. I don't know if i would want to buy that particular soap, but its kind of neat. [more info] Kelly DeVries is an artist & graphic designer. Her prices range from $2-$13. Not bad for cool soap. This one might be a bit creepy, but there are several cute ones that are worth looking at. It makes me want to try my hand at soap making.

I'm always amazed at artistically gifted people. I don't know how they do it - painting, sculpting, singing, dancing. Its all practice, practice, practice i guess. I also think its easier for some than others. I wanted to be a doctor when i was little, but studying never came natural to me. I have to work hard to get the grades I want. My sister works hard, but school comes more naturally to her. It clicks! For me, i have to wait a couple of days before any clicking happens. I get sidetracked easily, maybe i have mild case of ADD.

I found this korean site with the most adorable cartoon captions. Its a very basic concept. She uses everyday, ordinary things and creates little stories from them. The pictures are all simple, insightful, and cute (beyond words). The only downside is that her site and pictures are in korean. [interested?] She stopped blogging since there aren't any new updates, but there are little cartoons of her previous work. I think she's so creative in her work and i love her unique style.

You can actually guess what the picture is portraying. That's the beauty of a picture. There are no language barriers. The caption literally translates into: Sharing begins in our outstretched little hands. Its so sweet. I want to start looking at things from a different perspective. Maybe that will spark some imagination and creativity. I will share a picture a day from her collection of photos because they are worth mentioning. This begins the first of the batch.

I'm going to start studying again and hopefully i'll be a little less stressed by sunday. I've been having breakouts primarily on my forehead. I have this Equate Medicated Ace Gell that is 10% benzoyl peroxide. The problem with 10% that i've seen in the past is that it dries my skins really badly. I see improvement, but then i start using face lotion and my face gets too oily and reacts by breaking out again. I guess i'll have to do a bit more trial and error. I don't understand the why its so important to get brand named things. Equate (the generic brand) has all the same active ingredients as some of the main leading brands. I think between this Equate medicated acne gel, there is a difference in one ingredient between Neutrogena's medicated acne gel. So, why buy a $6 tube when you can buy a $2 tube?

Cute picture of the day.
